I’m sorry I left. It took me a while to figure out that Destiny is not for me. I played all the Halos through 4, and got started on gaming with Marathon like 20 years ago and now I want to come back, helmet in my hands.
So dish, is Halo 5 gonna make me happy? I prefer multiplayer matchmaking games and don’t really care about campaign or story. I also love big sloppy heavies based games. Rockets FTW every time for me. Is halo 5 shaping up to be my kind of game? Or have they messed with it and tried to copy the bizarre path Destiny has chosen? Please fill me in. Thanks.
Just kidding! Personally, I’m really liking the way Halo 5 is turning out with the campaign, Arena, Warzone, and everything else. We’ll have to see about custom games, Forge, and casual gametypes still.

Thanks - I do lurv me some BTB/Heavies. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll check out the vids.
I do wish destiny had more usable vehicles (they have 4) but all the vehicles are different bulks of the same design, exposed on the back and long narrow front. I would say they are all varients of the ghost but the ghost> destiny vehicles.
I’m with you all on this. Destiny was fun, but running the same mission for the billionth time was monotonous at best and all to get that one piece of armor. After listening to #huntthetruth several times, I got pretty pumped for Halo 5. I actually like the way the story is going. If done right, my hopes are high, then this could tie things up nicely. Welcome back.
If I’m comparing, (which may get me in trouble?) then Halo 5’s beta was a better game than the retail version of Destiny. I got very tired of the Destiny grind and have no particular ambition to return to it.
Arena and Breakout were great 4v4 but if you want to break out the large scale chaos, Warzone might be worth a try. If that doesn’t suit you, I’m sure a big team battle playlist will be rotated in sometime after launch.
I left for the bungie name. Not necessarily destiny itself. And it looked fun and different… I left in December. Just stopped playing like that. Was not fun anymore. Redoing missions for the “story”. Looking for crap stuff. Doing raids was the best part. But that’s it.

> Welcome back! Destiny is an absolute joke. The most recent “expansion” (TTK) only confirms how absurd Bungie has become.

Glad you saw the light OP and stopped paying for $40 “dlc” periodically to play on the same vanilla maps against the same vanilla enemies.
Halo 5 is the return to what makes halo great. You said you wanted a big battle, how bout an epic 12 v 12 all out war with ai enemies tossed in the mix? H5 has it its called Warzone.
If you want some 4v4 even starts where skill and teamwork will win the game just like h1-3, unlike destiny’s luck = win system, try arena.
They literally have what you want all in h5. Welcome back.
