basically what he is saying is that in the near future we will be able to make microscopic computer chips. And at the push of a button all the microscopic chips will combine together to take different shapes.

I don’t agree with the OP either but Frankie said that there is a reason for his new look, I think he will wake up in his H3 Mark VI armor and switch to Mark VII sometime after.
If he just randomly has a new look due to the new artists, I will be a bit disappointed for that part.
The nano tech thing is only for Mark VII chief went in to cryo sleep with the Mark VI on.

This is the most ridiculous answer.
When Bungie worked with Digital Domain on the “Starry Night” trailer a lot of the assets were optimized so that it could be rendered in passes and compositied in post. The bubble shield was a human invention at this point in development.
This most likely has nothing to do with “the artist” being creative because anyone in the industry today knows that most modelers aren’t given the straight freedom of “winging” it in the design process.
Time is money my friend and it’s time you learn how a production pipeline works in the real world.

Actually, the Chief’s armor was different because 343 wanted to show off what they were thinking for the CHief’s new look. The announcement trailer is non-canon.
When the Chief wakes up in Halo 4, he will most likely have the same armor he went to sleep in (with a graphical and possibly stylistic alteration), and then receive some new armor, much like Halo 2 or Mass Effect 2.
Well, it isn’t really speculation anymore. It’s in glasslands. They say MJOLNIR armor upgrades in cryo due to nanotechnology.

No. Mjolnir Mk. VII can make repairs in cryo, not full upgrades. There is a major difference.
Guys really it’s the same armor just a cosmetic change, note he still has the same scar over his right breast, for example he had mk. 6 armor in both h2 and h3 but the armor had a few minor graphical changes, like his palm armor went from 4 holes to 3, and he also had the abdominal area more covered in 3 than in 2. Stop stressing, it’s the same armor let it go.
I mean you guys know that’s not even the final Armor, right? Frank has said several times it was just for the Teaser trailer. They are still testing out designs.

Mk.VI doesn’t have nanotech. Unless you were attempting to say it didn’t, but your quote got messed up.

Exactly what I’m proving with your post, why not relax, be patient and not so fast to ruin and realize that this is a fictional universe where any number of collective fans can implement their ideals into the greater piece, enjoy the beauty of the mere typing on a keyboard creates a digital response for all to see and read and consider and not troll- he has a valid point and an option that although in opinion I believe not to be true could very well be and cant be proven otherwise…
I feel though that the chief was used by Cortana at some point for some bidding- some prequel of stories that I’m sure will surface and be equally compelling; it makes all the more sense with the directors cut of the Halo 4 trailer wherein the Chief says nothing and allows Cortana to seem much more desperate for his reaction as if in fault for something- the chief may have been used in her state of near rampancy. Thats my contribution.

Well we have to take cannon into consideration here, so there has to be a logical explanation for why it has changed … and there is if you read Halo Glasslands it tells you that spartan armor is completely made up of nano technology and upgrades every time a Spartan goes into cryonic sleep so this is why his armor has changed so much.
So to be honest the OP is the only one who I have seen so far to get this close to the reason why it has changed.
Know the facts before you start calling people stupid.
The artist wouldn’t just change it so dramatically for no reason and as you can see there is a reason.

Haha me too it never made any sense that he died in water, when he could fall in from space … and survive. They should have made it so his visor slowly blurs and becomes static if he stays under too long forcing you to come out because you vision would be too blurred.
