I know this may be a minor thing but...

Am I the only one who miss the ODSTs? Don’t get me wrong I loved seeing the Spartan IV’s in campaign, and I really liked seeing the Marines, especially the ones who’s helmets looked like a skull. I’m just a little surprised we haven’t really seen ODST drop pods come in like support since Halo 2 or Halo 3: ODST in awhile. Again, I’m aware some of the Spartan IV also get recruited from different branches but I miss my black armored allies with their SMGs even if they couldn’t shoot all that well they looked cool. Even the security guards on that station that guarded the Composer look like ODSTs.Thoughts?

I wondered about this. The spartan-IVs in the ragnarok spartan ops mission look a lot like ODSTs.

Maybe the story is that they didn’t put them on the Infinity because they had spartans there so there so it would be a waste of resources having two special forces teams, or maybe most of them have been co-opted into the spartan-iv program. But meh, I’m sure we’ll see them again.

The Spartan-IVs are probably replacing ODSTs. After all, both are nothing more than glorified marines. The Spartan-IVs are not even half of what the Spartan-IIs were.

I don’t know man, I mean the ODST were you know deployed for like Stealth operations and when the drop zone was too hot. I’m glad other people noticed it too, but come on even if the Spartan IV’s replace the ODSTs they still have the UNSC Army which we saw in Reach, they looked like Marines from past Halo games, yet the Marines in Reach actually looked really different from the Army, yet in Halo Combat Evolved the Marines looked like the Army Troops. I don’t think they should get rid of the ODSTs. I mean look at the Covenant even the Storm all their classes. It made the UNSC unique, humans that had their counter for the Ranger class (i.e. ODST) the suits can even last in space for awhile.

I dont like other spartans in the same game as chief only marines and/or odst’s

I wasn’t disagreeing, just merely laying a small crack on the pathetic Spartan-IVs. They should make 'em all the way they did the Spartan-IIs - start 'em when they’re children - to make them good.

As for ODSTs, I really don’t see why they should be put to an end either.

I know what you meant, I didn’t mean any form of disrespect but I agree with you on there with the Spartan IV’s they really aren’t as disciplined as the other Spartan classes. I mean really jumping out of formation for a few kills? Come on Hoya, at the same time it’s good to see Spartan’s again I mean I still would love to play a Halo game or even DLC that has you playing with other Spartan II’s. The thing is in campaign the Spartan IV’s were very smart for example, they controlled the Warthog well. When my tire track got blown off the tank a Spartan IV jumped off and hopped on the turret.
