I know the trailer just dropped yesterday, but when do you expect any other news for infinite? 3 months? 6 months? A year?
Another year. They said in their article something to the effect of “until E3 2020, which will be huge, we’re going to keep the mystery of Halo alive.” Sorry I’m too lazy to pull the actual quote.

They might do small details but nothing major

Really? That’s unfortunate.2 years In a row of just trailers and if what you read is correct nothing for another year? Wow
There’s an xbox event in London this year. November I think. Its called XO or something. Could be then.

I got off my lazy butt and pulled the quote. It is unfortunate I agree but given the release date I think keeping things close to the chest this far from release is good so that they don’t get called out for any changes that may happen down the road as “deceptive marketing”
> As for what’s next, E3 2020 will be a big moment for Halo Infinite. Until we reach that destination in 2020, we’ll continue to embrace the mystery and wonder of Halo and the endless opportunity and potential of this engine, this hardware and, most of all, this team.
From this article: Discover Hope
They said their next big destination for news would be next year E3. I’m hoping we at least get a semi consistent trickle of little news nuggets between now and then.
Yeah some report said they are “going dark” until E3 2020.
I personally don’t mind them going dark; it means that if they reveal too much it will blow our minds. It’s already blown mine. Seeing the Halo destroyed and the second trailer taking place a year after the first took me off guard. I’d rather them kind of hold off because it appears they have a big reveal.

It says that we will “unravel” our sense of mystery and curiosity and wonder in the next few months which could mean we get more news in the coming months.
There needs to be enough time to do proper beta/flighting tests and be able to actually implement feedback before launch. “When” depends on what all needs tested (presumably everything since we’re working with a new engine here). Not sure how long they would need to do flight programs for a brand new cross-platform game and leave enough room to make fixes/changes, but Halo 5’s beta went live roughly 9 months before launch. I imagine they’re going to want more time than that for this game, so that would put it well before E3 of next year … possibly late this year. Which means they should probably do a gameplay reveal before putting builds in the hands of players. Unless they do super secret Halo insider testing with serious non-disclosure agreements, but for a game this big that would be risky.
And that’s why I think we’ll be seeing a gameplay reveal before E3 2020.

So like January or February 2020?
Patience is a virtue.
3 months from now we could see an insider announcement if 343i continues with the ~1 year betas.
Im guessing there could be minor “baits” dropped here and there occasionally with possible development vidocs before the big reveals in the next E3.
It’s also helping our effort to lean into the core storytelling principles that made Halo so engaging for fans. “Discover Hope” is the first glimpse into this story and sets the stage for the beginning of Halo Infinite, leaving you with a sense of mystery, curiosity and wonder for us to unravel together in the coming months.

I know reading isn’t a strong point here on waypoint , but seriously have a crack before posting .

No need for this post, especially the last part
Coming months . I think sums it up . But ok speculate away when it’s clearly written on this forum
It was just confirmed that so called trailer is now the opening cinematic for Infinite.
