I like the idea. And if it is perk only, no AA, and the perks aren’t anything like Last Stand Pro from Black ops, I’d be fine with perks. Games evolve and change, people just need to understand that.
I don’t think perks/loadouts fit well with halo and I would be surprised if they worked well in Halo 4. I can deal with change and have been trying to like reach for a long time coming.

So your idea of balance is to reward a player who’s dominating or with a power weapon with a perk that would boost his abilities?
This, a mention of an upgrade system has been rapidly turned into a “perk” system by media that likes to compare everything to a certain major franchise.
You guys should read this interview to see what Frank O’connors stand point is on how halo might be getting a bit similar to CoD. Its a very good point, and you should actually read the whole interview. I did and i learned quite a bit.

Thank you I can see how that is a good point. But I just hope there will be no “slite of hand” or “light wate” in Halo. you know what I mean.

that wouldnt be bad, but thats not what 343 wants. they want that COD money, so they are using the Generic COD model of Class customization.
if it turns out balanced 343i must be gods because the only way to have complete balance is to have a symmetrical map, same loadout starts, and the same skill levels. Maybe even no weapons on the map because that gives that team an advantage to have a more powerful waeapon.

… We’ve barely seen anything about the loadouts and customization stuff. How do you assume this early it is a generic copy of CoD’s system?

lol gears weapon balance? everyone just uses gnashers, the other guns are more or less useless.
