I had an oni warthog explode because I was in the Baron’s spawn area. He spawned 50 ft above me and it exploded! I think it’s just a mechanic to prevent people from camping the AI spawns. I wish Spartans had the same effect when they spawned.

From what I can tell a melee to the back of an undamaged knight does precisely -Yoink- all, so I don’t know what you were thinking.
