Is there a single chance that Halo 4 will bring Halo back to the PC? It’s been so long since we even got a taste of Halo, and that was an incredibly crappy port of Halo 2. If the new one brought the PC audience back into the picture, I don’t doubt for a second that the entire PC market would instabuy the game. Probably not going to happen, but hell… Just imagine how epic it would be.
NO.
Halo 3, Wars, ODST and Reach haven’t been ported to PC. So no, I don’t think Halo 4 will be ported either.
If Halo 4 were to release on PC, it would probably be well after the console version was released. This ensures that PC sales don’t bite into initial console sales, but still provides a product for the market. The only real issue would be the multiplayer. 343 would have to run significantly more servers, which is both inconvenient and expensive.

Halo games do not use servers, not even Halo PC. The console versions use a host connection system (pardon my not knowing the actual name), while the PC versions use servers created by the host or custom servers.
I can’t see it happening. PC gaming isn’t a huge priorty for Microsoft. You don’t see any of their Console first party games on PC anymore. The only games that I can think off of the top of my mind for recent or future MS PC releases is AoE Online and MS Flight for PC gamers.
They probably want to make their console as attractive as possible, but I think they are missing out. Make all their games Games for Windows - Live and improve it overall.
That’s for a different topic, but I don’t see MS wanting any of their studios doing PC ports. Maybe an outside studio could port it, but again unlikely.

And we all see how well that’s worked. But you’re right- my mistake.
But that doesn’t mean dedicated servers aren’t a good idea that 343 should use…

Dedicated servers would be nice, but they also cause more lag issues than the peer to peer system currently being used.
