I know how to satisfy people with req packs!

I know to make everybody satisfied with the req pack system. So, my idea is that req packs will still be the same, but, you have the option to earn the armours you want. Much like Helioskrill, you can do some sort of challenge to get the armour and helmet. When you earn this mythic/legendary armour, you get a mark or something on it on the front or back of the helmet to show that you earned it. If you get that mythic armour through req packs, you don’t get the variant with the specific mark. Also, there would only be two variants of armours and helmets. A variant you earn and a variant you unlock through req packs. That would be it. In conclusion, this would satisfy people who like the req packs and it would satisfy people who liked the idea of recon or achilles because you can earn an exclusive version of the armour. What do you think?

They just need to find a good balance, which 343 isn’t good at what so ever, between earned cosmetics and req system cosmetics. They also should have added wild cards to the req system so occasionally you could pick whatever req you wanted.

I’ve always just played the game and whatever I got from req packs were “extra”

I figured that armour, stances and skins don’t change gameplay, that they don’t really matter. So I don’t really get bothered by req packs when I don’t get something I want

As for req weapons, yes they do change warzone gameplay and can give you that extra edge you need, but my drive for really wanting them died when I died with a req weapon and never got it back

How about this with armour:

  • Ultra Rare to Legendary armours can only be unlocked by unlocking specific achievements or completing commendation - Ultra Rare to Legendary armour variants will be unlocked in the REQ pool by unlocking the base armour - Or the alternative to my 2nd point, give us the option to create our own armour variants that includes letting us create our own weapon skins

And don’t forget about adding restock packs. They will have higher req yield and a higher chance to give UR’s and Legends.

I don’t have a problem with the current REQ Pack system. Though I wish there were more armors that required achievements or difficult challenges to unlock like beating the campaign on legendary and legendary solo; I fully understand their decision to make packs that you can buy for real money. Without the packs, we wouldn’t have free DLC as often, or in the way that we do. I do think your idea of having Challenge armors have different look than the base armor is cool, and I’d like to see how else they could implement that.

Or maybe change your thinking from ‘acquiring a specific set of armour from achievements/ challenges’ to acquiring all sets of armour.
Don’t try and apply earlier games mechanics where it was polarised in such a way that many armour sets were ignored and not even acquired, because it just doesn’t work in Halo 5.
A better solution would be to have challenges that allow us to get more RP to get closer to the 100% req completion.
Randomness means everyone will have access to try out all armour. In Reach I was pretty much you buy it, and you stick with it for a very long time, you cannot afford to change, and that was a very bad system.
