343 deserved a break for pushing Halo Infinite out the door. They get a big pat on the back for releasing the most finished FPS for the year, BUT they need to return sooner than later.
From what I’ve seen, the Halo community is starting to get increasingly hostile every day, while the player base is seeing a steady decline. The game has issues with ranked (biggest issue for me since that’s about all I play), progression and the store, among some other minor balancing issues.
I know 343 said they would be addressing a lot of these issues in their last community update, but I’m worried by the time they come back and get the updates out, it’ll be too late. I’m sure they could convince some to return with a few good updates but could probably be avoidable all together if they just come back a little early.
Something that stuck with me is that they specifically pointed out they don’t agree with the perceived value of shop items and ultimate rewards. Yet since they’ve been on break it’s been the same garbage emblems and 20 dollar packs. I think it just shows they know about the issues and what they need to do to fix them, they just need to come back so they get addressed. And with how everyone is feeling, it seems like they need to return yesterday.
I feel like they should’ve outsourced to a team who could attempt to fix the bugs. ditching your game over christmas, the most lucrative time for game sales, while an integral mode is completely broken was a terrible move. the game is hemorrhaging players.

Everyone deserves holiday, but your right, the timing is really bad
I get tired of people saying there on holiday as an excuse…343i know what they were doing and they choose to release it despite the complaints with the flights and despite everything they choose themselves to release the game knowing it wasn’t ready. If 343i didn’t want people demanding fix’s then they shouldn’t have released it so close to the holidays knowing full well that nothing was going to get done about it. I’d go as far as saying it feels irresponsible and reckless to release it in this state. No developer should be doing beta’s so close to a release date.
343i have claimed a lot of things and they have broke a lot of promises and trust with their actions and they continue to make more mistakes. When is enough too far? there clearly listening to the complaints and yet they’ve continued to made no major changes before going on holiday because they conveniently decided that releasing a game was more important than fixing the game.
