I just got on to start playing and every game I join kicks me after about 5 to 10 seconds. Does anyone know why? It worked fine the other day when I played a couple games. I asked people from the games I had joined if they got kicked too and they all said no so it’s seems like it’s just me.
It’s also counting as a quit against my record so I don’t really want to just keep trying game after game…
Where exactly do you go after you get “kicked”? Explain your situation in more detail. Do you encounter a blackscreen?
I search, it finds a game, the game screen comes up with the map and the players. before the veto option comes up it just kind of sends me back to my home screen. No loading or long black screen, just a quick flicker and it’s back to the home lobby.
If your playing from your disk check that it isn’t scratched this will cause you not to load maps and kick you back to lobby, go to custom games and check every map it will say player failed to load content if your disc is screwed up.

It seems like you’re not loading maps.
Re-download Halo 3 (or if you’re playing from a disk, check the disk for scratches) and try once more. It seems like it’s a map loading error, which is caused by corrupted information.

That’s because your disc is scratched/unclean, or your Halo 3 file on your Xbox is corrupt.
If you are playing from a disk, check for very fine crack/s emanating from the hub. That’s where the most frequent disk failure occurs.
i had the same problem today except it didnt kick me back to the home screen it told me “failed to load match restarting search” and continued to do so until i backed out of the matchmaker then it couldnt retrieve the information from the halo servers and i couldnt play it anymore today after that
