I’ve gotten banned 4 times in the past 2 weeks for poor connections to the server, but honestly it isn’t my fault. I’ve tried resetting my router and modem a few times but it doesn’t change anything, i keep getting disconnected from matches that are about to finish or are midway close to finishing, then I get the message saying I’m banned. Is there any way I can fix this from occuring all the time, and is it happening to anyone else?
its not u mate, im one of many others who have this problem, which seems to have started with Infinity’s Armory launch. If u had noticed every other game or network process will work absolutely fine, indicating that its purely a server error.
U wud think that 343 wud acknowledge this issue or at the very least stop bans in the unranked gametypes like warzone and btb (frankly i don’t even get WHY unranked playlists/gametypes even have a ban system) but this is 343 after all i guess.
Best thing we can do for now is switch gametype when the disconnects start, to atleast get a cooldown on ur DNF spree so that the bans don’t come into effect, dunno how reliable this will be but its something while we hopefully wait for a fix
This just happened to me today as well. The match just ended (we even won so there would be no reason to quit), and suddenly I get disconnected and a message saying I’ve been banned for quitting too many times. I recorded the whole thing for proof as well. And I don’t quit matches, so it’s not like this would be the final straw either. It was only a 10 minute ban, so I’ll get over it, but it’s still annoying that a legitimate network disconnect counts as a ban. Plus my win didn’t count, to add insult to injury.
Is there no way to differentiate between a network disconnect and someone quitting? I was still connected to Xbox Live the whole time, so surely there should be a method to detect a temporary disruption to the server, which results in a disconnect, as opposed to someone choosing “Leave game” during the match.

I don’t know if there is a way to fix it by yourself. I had crappy internet up until about 3 weeks ago i think. I lagged out of a lot of games not only halo 5. I lagged out of Rainbow Six Siege, BO3, Destiny, and Titanfall. We got a new router and new everything and i haven’t lagged out once since in any of those games. I don’t know if what i said helps but good luck dude

It’s annoying cause I really want to play, and it’s not like I’m leaving the games on purpose.

I agree dude i had the same problem
almost the same problem here, since the last update it’s almost unplayable from europe.
Sometimes its working for some matches in a row, other times (like today) every game is lagging as hell.

Its a RNG fest for how many successful games you can have atm
same -Yoink- today. yesterday “i” won almost 60-70% of the match, today i just placed inside teams not able to held their weapons right way round.
Is there any way to write a complaint or something to 343 about this? I keep getting banned, and every time the bans get worse
