It was my understanding this could never happen unless the season reset. Could someone clarify?
In Team Arena I hit platinum 1 last night. Hovered there a few games, just lost a CTF game 3v4 and afterwards I see I’m now in gold 6…

I thought the way the system worked was that you don’t go down in rank. Only tiers… or whatever they’re called.
Been diamond in Slayer forever. I remember hitting plat 1 in slayer and losing a ton of matches and not going down in rank.
Feel free to look at my game history. Was platinum in the previous games before the most recent one… I will not play matchmaking for a while to keep my history that way until this is addressed. Thank you all so much!

This can happen now. It keeps players from getting stuck in ranks they can’t compete in.

You guys missed the memo like TWO months ago… at least…
They changed this a little while back to where you can rank down. Why doesn’t anybody know about this??
A little while back they changed the system a bit. It is now possible to drop down a full division.
They notified us in one of the Messages of the Day.

What everyone else has said. You can drop to any rank now. That part is like Halo 3 now, which personally I like and felt it always should of been this way.
Yup, no more placing or getting carried to higher than you should be and getting stuck there.

It changed not long ago and there has been threads on this topic. It was also a message of the day a while back.
