I just want them to understand...

Halo 4 is the only game I’ve bought in over a year. I ONLY play Halo. It is my favorite game franchise by far and I’ve played it almost exclusively since 2008 when I finally got a 360 for Halo 3. I feel as if I am the type of person that 343 should be appealing to and keeping in mind because I am the type of person that really does provide longevity for these titles. I KNOW I’m not alone. The decline started with Reach and has come to an all time low in Halo 4 for me. I just wish 343 would understand where a lot of people are coming from, why we are upset about what they have done to this beloved franchise, and acknowledge and really listen to what we actually want from a Halo game. At this point its a desperate time for the franchise especially now that we have seen what was presented at the GDC presentation. It just makes me SCARED for Halo as whole.

I think that you and I could be good friends. I only got an x-box for CE and Halo 2, and a 360 for Halo 3. Halo Reach was a low point for the franchise in my opinion. Halo 4 came out, and recently, I’ve gone back to Reach. I’m contemplating selling my x-box, because I am no longer entertained, and I have little hope in 343. My patience is wearing thin.

Imagine getting a console for one game! HA! Why not stop moaning like a little girl and play something else? Or if it matters that much to you, go picket 343i’s HQ.

Not trying to be an -Yoink- or anything, but it’s one thing to say “Hey, we don’t like this game for these reasons, these are some changes we’d like to see instead”
And it’s a whole nother thing to sit there and say “THIS GAME SUCKS BLAH BLAH BLAH! YOU GUYS -Yoinking!- SUCK, YOU GUYS SUCK AT MAKING GAMES, THIS GAME IS RUINED BECAUSE THIS ONE FEATURE ISN’T IN THERE!”, which by the way isn’t feed back, it’s just stupid drama, and people need to sit down, take a big -Yoink- chill pill, and act like adults for once. Instead of acting like kids, which is how everyone so far is acting.

The 343i defensive taskforce is here already?? Damn that was fast.

/facepalm

You do undestand that Halo 3 was the reason people bought an Xbox 360 right? It’s the only reason why the Xbox got famous. Halo is the Xboxs icon, and I doubt if Halo 5 is not as decent as Halo 4 is, the new Xbox will not sell. How much you wanna put down?

That’s the stupid thing with the market. They probably will sell.

Take PS Vita and Wii U for example. Both late to the console industry, and both destine for failure. But they did still sell.

Another example are phones. Apple bring an Iphone each year. They also sell. It’s how the market goes :\

What people? Do you have access to the results of a survey that asked millions of people why they bought a 360, and those results clearly showed a majority answer of “For Halo”? No? Then why start your reply off with a ludicrous presumption that’s based on nothing more than your own opinion?

In any other case i would have to agree with you, but your need to disagree with these people kind of overcame the obvious.

Halo CE was the reason the original xbox sold. Halo 3 was a huge reason people bought the xbox 360, myself included. Halo 3 was the game of its time. Give someone a choice between a playstation and xbox and theyd choose the xbox just for halo.

Its not an opinion, it was just commmon knowledge at the time. Though the way you blatantly insult these people suggest maybe you werent even born yet when halo 3 came out…

Common knowledge? To whom? Where is the evidence that it was common knowledge? That’s all I ask. Otherwise, like I said, it’s just a presumption based on opinion.

Got a 360 because it cost less than the PS3, also had one of my most favorite games on it…which was Microsofts Flagship game. Still love Armored Core more, but that’s off topic. Been playing Halo since it first came out, enjoyed all of them…and enjoying this one…despite a few errors here and there.

What a crappy and unremotely funny “meme” are you the type that needs an image with a caption to get likes or to make your comments funny?

Im unsure of how to give an example of common knowledge. Its common knowledge that when setting the table the fork is supposed to go on the left with the spoon and knife on the right, but how would you give an example in explaining that? “one time at a fancy restaurant the fork was on the left and thats just how i know”. It doesn’t disprove the stated fact is what im meaning to say.

Halo is an exclusive to xbox, a very well known exclusive with a large following. Even if you weren’t a halo fan at the time i remember people still buying an xbox to play that game. It was like a social phenomenon, or at least thats what i saw.

I’m just trying to state that close to the 360’s launch halo 3 had a ton of hype surrounding it and influenced quite a few people to look in to buying an xbox. Not trying to get hostile here or anything.

man u just suck stop defending 343 on every tread they clearly dont know what they are doing

I got the 360 just for the soul purpose of halo 3, and halo 3 was the only game i had on the 360 for awhile

I only play Halo too.

Tried Battlefield, didn’t get what was so exciting.
Tried CoD, felt like a try hard.
Tried various FPS, they were all practically similar to each other.
Tried third person shooters, same case as FPS.

The only game that impressed me was FEAR… it’s AI are pretty advanced IMO.

But when I played Halo, wow, I got to do so many things I didn’t think possible and I saw many distinct communities spawned from it (i.e. Forge, machinima, tricking, speedrunning). Even the modding is distinct (I’m not referring to those lame MP cheating techniques).

i feel like this thread is getting a bit off topic not that anyone cares at the moment

And you clearly don’t know how to spell.

But insulting people because they don’t agree with you is childish, so how 'bout we don’t?
