I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS!

In Halo Anniversary, they added many new skulls.
But they left one skull out. I now know why.

This skull was very interesting.
When enabled, this skull would replace the sounds of weapons and explosions with the voices of employees who developed the game. So if I shot a Magnum,
it would be some guy saying, “pew pew”. Which would make the game hilarious.

I think the reason they decided not to use it was cuz they’ll be using it in H4 instead.
NEW FAVORITE SKULL!

Also, I hope certain skulls can be enabled in Customs. Like that one.

I hope its there that would be so funny.

Did my skull thread trigger this revelation? lol

Yeah.

They should organise the skulls to modify the score based on what skulls you have. Skulls that do nothing but change the sound bites or dialogue wouldn’t alter the score, skulls that increase your score would be for alterations that increase the enemy health and such. Then a third lot of skulls that reduce the score, but improves the game for you. for example, letting allies regenerate their health so that they’ll be more competent in combat. You can then allow the player to alter which skulls are on for their preference, some might like increasing the enemy health and numbers while increasing allies health and aiming abilities.

Also, you can create unique challenges, even challenges that turn on all skulls from one of the three sets (Hard, Easy and Fun sets) and can give the players more reasons to replay the campaign under different sets and rules. Probably even try turning on all Easy skulls and trying to play through the campaign without firing a single shot.

Now that sounds like the IWHBYD skull effect. But I can see the difference for a new skull mate.

Further, I’d like to see an armour effect with Mister Chief, similar to the Reach hearts or confetti armour effects.

Glad i can help lol
OT: It’s possible they bring it back, it sounds hilarious. Probably would take a lot of tension out of the game so I wouldn’t recommend using it until the game is beaten. Curious what the legendary ending will be.

I’d like this very much. There’s been a great emphasis on difficulty skulls, and recently, thanks to CEA, fun skulls, but we have yet to see any proper gameplay enhancing skulls.

Ever since they mentioned that skull I’ve been crossing my fingers that it’ll be in Halo 4. Just imagine driving the warthog… vrooooooooom… I think it would be even better if they just worded the sounds. It might get annoying quick but would make for a great laugh. What I mean is when you shoot a gun instead of making the sound it would be a guy saying shoot shoot shoot, reload. Or when a grenade blows up a person would simply say “explosion” when the nade blows up. I’m all for these neat secondary skulls. IWHBYD isn’t cool but it isn’t always very apparent.
