Bloom adds a great competitive aspect to the game, and there never should have been options to remove it.

Yeah, it’s great! I don’t mind it not being there or being there. Either way is good.

Exactly, that aspect of randomness added so much to the competitive aspect. The big boys couldn’t rely on EZ mode straight shots like in Halo 2. (the worst Halo for competitive playing IMO.)
Not this again.
If anything you said had merit MLG would use bloom.

MLG is a horrible “competitive” group. None of the games they play (and especially the settings they use in said games) at any MLG event are competitive in the slightest.

Lol

Dude, I know Reach is so much better than that BR crap they had in Halo 3. I mean adding the coin-flip random factor to DMR 1v1 battles that occur often in the only ranked playlist of Reach is just astounding, and I really wish MLG was still 100% bloom. The game designers were complete geniuses when it came to the creation of bloom. Where could they borrowed such an innovative game mechanic from? I don’t know, but hey, we are so lucky to have the brilliant concept of bloom in Reach, and I know that it is generally cherished and loved by all gamers.
I love it when luck decides the outcome of whether I win or lose.

Yes, facts are pretty hilarious.

Maybe in your own little world where randomness reigns supreme and those that get paid to play are just noobs.

I would just like to point out that most players that come to these forums are not the MLG guys that get paid to play. We get the “I play the MLG playlist and watch videos” kinda MLG guys who think settings make a competition.

True. But that doesn’t give the uniformed the right to decide what is competitive, and call it fact without backing it up.
MLG backs their setting choices up with reasoning and logic. This guy runs his mouth with 0 evidence. Im convinced I walked into a troll attempt.

Now I KNOW you’re trolling.
0/10.

Thank you.

True, he could have said “Removing laser like accuracy of weapons expanded the game into a more teamwork based game instead of a headshot fest”.
> MLG backs their setting choices up with reasoning and logic.
MLG has created the illusion of exclusivity via dated settings and players get sucked into a false ideology that makes them feel superior, even though they are not.
> This guy runs his mouth with 0 evidence.
So do most competitive players and if you play the right playlist, you can say anything you want without a single peice of evidence and its accepted as fact.
> Im convinced I walked into a troll attempt.
You could be right, all the markers are there, new account, flame attracting topic and he believes people that show up at video game competitions are not competing.
> Exactly, that aspect of randomness added so much to the competitive aspect. The big boys couldn’t rely on EZ mode straight shots like in Halo 2. (the worst Halo for competitive playing IMO.)
Actually! Reach is the easiest Halo to date. H2 had faster kill times, but remember that you too also died very quickly making it harder to stay alive to do anything.
Reach is easier cause kill times are slower and you have plenty of time to "stop, think and decide whether to run away, or get the headshot, or do Armor Lock, or Nade, or hide and wait for shields to regenerate, wait for Bloom to reset on Bloom game types, etc…
At least Reach has gotten a little faster and harder now with ZB.
…ah…ahhh…AHHCHTROLL!..agh!..(sniff)…oh excuse me…been sneezing all day.
So you enjoy the outcome of an encounter being left up to chance?
@plunder
“MLG has created the illusion of exclusivity via dated settings and players get sucked into a false ideology that makes them feel superior, even though they are not.”
This is a myth and a stereotype. It has nothing to do with how dated the settings are, or that it makes them feel superior.
If you want to know what is competitive and the logic behind it read the post “Halomasterv3’s attempt to change mlg” Although he is trying to change mlg playlist, it is the playlist best reflects his ideology currently.
