In Reach, remember how whatever armor we put on in the armory changed what we looked like in Campaign? That was something I really liked about it, making you feel like you were really a part of the action.
Well, I just realized something. In Halo 4, since we’re gonna be playing as Master Chief again, we won’t get to feel as special anymore. We’ll all just be Master Chief, and we will have no individuality.
Being Master Chief again will be awesome, but still… I want to be individual. Different aesthetic headbands for Master Chief in campaign would be nice.

I don’t think you will be able to achieve this level or even any customisation in Campaign.
Multiplayer (we already know) and FireFight (most likely) however you will be able to create your own ‘individuality’ to some extent.
I cant remember exactly, but how did it work during Halo 3’s co-op campaign with 3-4 people? I’m guessing two people still played as Chief and the Arbiter and the others as their own spartans or elite characters? I figure itll be the same for co-op campaign this go around, but who knows maybe we will get to customize Chiefs gear during the campaign like suggested.
I did enjoy the personalization in reach, but I feel like Chief will always need to be his own character. Thats why I feel allowing one person to play as him while others play as their own support characters could go pretty far if they are added into cutscenes as well somehow. That would be neat in my opinion.

in halo 3 the player who hosted the lobby was materchief, the others were the arbiter and some random elites(mostly a blue and a red elite)
