I just played some Halo 2 matchmaking. It was fun and great and brought back some nice memories. However Halo 2 is not Halo 4, neither is Halo 3. Halo 4 is Halo 4 and even though the games in the past were fun, we need change. Halo 4 will evolve and become something extraordinary. Unless you mean Vista (which isn’t even really matchmaking), Halo 2 matchmaking doesn’t even exist…

This. To expand on this statement, we don’t mind changes. We don’t want changes that just “Feel like Halo” to Frankie and 343i. We wan’t changes that PLAY like Halo as well. They must be balanced and allow all players an equal opportunity. Everyone gets the same chances, the only thing that matters is your skill, which you’ve obtained from investing actual time into the game.
I agree with you. Halo 2 was an awesome game and when I play it it brings back some great memories, but if Halo 2 came out today it would seem like, well what it is, an OLD game. Nostalgia is kind of a sad thing. It makes many players not even give new games a chance and is the reason why many will, no matter what, never consider Halo 4 as good as the original trilogy. Halo 4 could be the best Halo game to date, it could also be the worst game of all time. We don’t know yet and we can’t know until we play it. If you love Halo 3 then play it, it’s still online. Halo 4 HAS to have changes because without them it won’t be a NEW game. It still sounds like Halo to me. I’m scared too at some of the changes, but we have to wait and see how everything is implemented before we jump to conclusions. Remember Halo2Sucks.com?

Op what is your XBC name?Because I just used your GT with Crtl F to search through all of XBC’s users and you weren’t there, and you magically don’t have any Halo 2/3 stats on Bnet.

Actually, I played Halo 2 earlier myself. Yeah, Quarantine Zone. Flood in vehicles. Yes. And I stand by what I’ve said about dual-wielding in the past, it’s way to easy to hose Flood down with a PR/SMG combo.
Also GIANT MOVING GEOMETRY everywhere. Not only could Bungie not sort the physics out very well (plasma bolts appeared above my reticle when moving upward), but the Sword’s lunge is so ridiculous it flung me over the edge at one point.

Check your facts before posting, MM was shut down a long time ago. I played the Halo 2 campaign yesterday.

This is why 343i doesnt listen too us. We arent worth listening too.
OP: Yeah, this is exactly how i felt. I did a campaign run through with an old friend of mine about a week ago. It was fun, especialy 2, but i felt it was missing something. I always felt their could have been more (Which is weird 'cause 6 years ago i thought halo 2 was perfect.) But there were so many times when i was like "Damn, sprint would be nice right now.
The past campaings were so large. You could go nywhere without being confined to a set path, i would like to see that again. But i digress; I definitely feel that halo needs its changes. Some of these changes are odd (My elites!) and disagreeable, but who knows.
