There’s really nothing else I can say to describe my feelings for this unfortunate event other than “Are you -yoinking- kidding me?”
I just worked through some 10 or so matches bearing the burden of playing with people who can barely aim their Assault Rifles and buying a Gold Pack, only to have its highlight item vanish because I lagged out.
We should be able to keep things like RP Boosts and modifiers in case of being ejected out of a game for any reason other than intentionally quitting. Because losing something like a Legendary Boost due to less-than-fully functional servers is kinda ridiculous.
dude i hate that. i lost several rare and ultra rare boosts and was hesitant on using my legendary. luckily i didnt DC when i used mine. it gives 6k REQ points
but that doesnt really matter if i lost 12K + with ultra rare disconnects

I wouldn’t even play this game if I had to worry about disconnecting every… single… game I played… Is it a problem with your ISP? Seems so unrealistic. That sucks though, I know the occasional DC happens and losing a legendary from that sucks. Sorry to the OP.
Edit: I had this problem when I played over the wireless so I plugged my xbox in with the ethernet and I haven’t had a disconnect since.

it happens rarely but combined i have lost close to 12k RP/XP boosts because of disconnects.
I’d definitely consider plugging your xbox straight to the modem/router. I disconnected several times while playing co-op with my buddy near the release date and I haven’t had a disconnect since.
Similar situation for me except I was kicked for “betraying” when the real problem was a glitch that spawned me and a bunch of teammates under the map and when we all died it said that I betrayed them and one of them must have kicked me. Cannot explain my frustration
Same thing just happened to me, I’m getting real tired of 343’s “Dedicated” servers. Fix your -yoink- 343, first you give me a game with a terrible user interface that doesn’t load correctly which I have to restart the game and now you give us servers much worse than MCC… I also know it’s not my connection because it’s set to open.
And yes I really do mean worse than MCC because the only problem I get with that is a long loading time.
Halo 4 - A game by 343 that the majority of the fans hated.
Halo MCC - a collection of Bungie games put together by 343 which whom made the campaign unplayable online and long loading screen.
Halo 5 - A terrible user interface which for some reason they changed from a really good one and terrible “Dedicated” servers.
Now I’m not hating on 343, if anything I thank them for carrying on the Halo games or we would have nothing. But I am still yet waiting for them to make a flawless Halo game.
I’ve had this happen to me a few times, tragic and infuriating indeed. I’m honestly hesitant to use any req that’s over “rare” value for fear of lagging out now. In fact, I have a few mantises collection dust in my req collection. ):
Happens to everyone, regardless of IP connection quality. I’ve got fibre OP with the highest speed, dedicated router and hard wired from controller, to XBOX, to IP and I’m in North America. I still get the errors from the “Dedicated Servers” and had drops in the lobby before the game and during.
Just something 343i can look into to improve. Seems the lag, drop outs, disconnects, etc. increase at the time of a new update and eventually start to become fewer as time progresses.
