I just kicked a guy for betraying

I was recently playing a Halo 2 BTB match, split screen with my brother. He was running the flag to our base while being guarded by me and some other guy. As we got closer to the capture plate, some dochebag on our team with a rocket intentionally shot and killed all three of us. A prompt came up and asked if you would like to boot the player. We presses the button that would kick him and poof he was out of the game!
In the MCC, due to the lack of a booting system, team killing has never been so bad. Yet, Halo 2 kept it’s booting system and it still worked. And it felt good booting that -Yoink-. Have you guys been able to boot players in the other games on the MCC? Or is it just exclusive to Halo 2?

Cool.

Congratulations. Sorry they haven’t gotten around to making a pointless medal for this “accomplishment” yet. Not to worry, though. If “Kill” gets a medal, surely “Boot” will too. Give it time. You likely won’t have hardly anyone left to play Halo with after Halo 5, though…either way, you won’t have to worry about player/player betrayals soon enough.

Giving someone Das Boot should definitely be a medal.

Yeah I will instantly boot players like that. Yeah accidentally betraying is one thing but just to betray to be a -Yoink- is another.

Only in Halo 2. Funny thing is I was the one who was booted. We had some clown on our team who wouldn’t team shot, but instead run blindly into the opposing team with an SMG. He ran into two otherwise perfect nade setups and booted me. I was 20+ and maybe a death or two, yet the game had a discrepancy of a few kills. They ended up loosing that one, lol.

I’m pretty sure booting is in all of the games. You just get more chances then you did in previous titles.

No, it’s in every game except CE.

The “Betrayal Booting” option should appear more often. IN ALL GAMES. It should also be able to detect if it was possibly done on purpose, for instance; me and a group of friends were playing at my house, one of them kills a team-mate on accident and he gets booted. But if one person in a splitscreen party is kicked, ALL SHALL FOLLOW. All of were kicked for an accident and an unforgiving player XD.

I got to boot a player and his split screener on Blood Gulch H2 yesterday. It was nice to see that option pop up after all of this time.

Just play the damn game and quit worrying about everybody else #realtalk

I hate being betrayed and once on reach I was in a wraith on hemorrhage and I was aiming for a warthog but I shot to late and killed a teammate in a ghost and kicked me just for a accidental shot seriously I hate dumb people who think its on purpose
