Im so bored on Halo because I hit the daily xp. It makes me not want to play because there is no point. I dont want to get any commendations or challenges because it would be a waste. I REALLY want to play but 343 insisted on punishing people who play there game.

Cap is somewhere around 100-120k. It resets with the dailies.

You know, i remember the day when you played the game simply for playing rather than some superficial exp systems. When i hit the cap (as in last night) i kept playing because of my love for Halo.
It’s to expected i suppose. The lure of unlocking stuff and having that feeling of getting somewhere is addicting. Nothing wrong with of course but i don’t think that should be the main reason for playing.
I didn’t really try and i hit the cap really fast lol.
I love to level and unlock new gear. To me thats fun. I have double xp and hit my cap within 2 hours. Now I can’t unlock anything and I have lost interest in playing. Don’t penalize players who play more than others 343. It’s just a game don’t control it, just let us play.
What would you do if they removed the cap and you unlocked everything, would you just stop playing?

Personally if that time comes and I unlock everything and still have a blast playing the game I would keep playing no problem.
The issues people have with the credit cap is that feeling while your trying to unlock something and can’t because your capped for the day. You get this feeling in your gut that you can keep playing, but what’s the point when you know that you could be earning xp, rank up and unlock stuff if you weren’t capped.
It stems from the whole core concept of the ranking system. Like someone else said, you get addicted to ranking up and getting stuff and then when you’re told your not allowed to anymore you feel like beating the crap out of something.
i play a -yoink- ton of HALO 4 on a daily basis (no seriously! this is all i have done for 2 weeks since my early access, right now on SR-49), and i have never seen this limit for the love of God
I don’t mind the cap but I was kinda pissed that I lost about 9,000 XP off of Double XP because of it along with several challenges.

Yeah, you are right on this one. I wish people played more custom games like in Halo 3. It just felt more enjoyable and fun. Now I’m obsessed with exp
I do think the XP limit cap would be done, specially if you are like me and only can play on day a week because I work on the time. However I also do have hobbies so if I was to hit the limit I would be like hey lets do something else, or just play vs against my friends on custom game. Maybe you should look in to some other free time activities… and 120K… what the heck you playing that is giving you that much in 2 hours?
If they actually showed you how close you were to the cap it wouldn’t be so bad. That way you don’t waste your XP so often. Or at least let your last game that goes over count and THEN cut you off.
Losing all the xp earned in a game doesn’t bother me, what does bother me is the fact that I don’t get the XP for commendations or challenges. That is completely absurd,I just lost the XP for my Exterminator master commendation, now I’m afraid to play MP because I don’t want to waste more commendation XP. If they want they can keep a cap on xp from games, but we need to be able to gain XP from challenges/commendations.
I find all these daily cap threads funny. I’ve never hit one in Reach and never will in Halo 4 either.
Not sure how people can play that much halo for so long each day. If it bothers people about a cap have a 2nd profile and play on that while your other account waits for the xp cap, or play another game. Problem solved.

That’s because there never WAS anything as bloody stupid as a daily cap in Reach.
They put a cap at Commander for whatever reason they picked and, hell, if you were dedicated enough/ had that crazy amount of time you could level up from Recruit to Commander in one/two goes.
You didn’t have someone with Commander and someone on Warrant Officer, with a stupid arbitrary barrier saying “Oh, sorry, he’s that rank but YOU can’t get there. Nope. Because we say so.”
Levels don’t make you a better player, they unlock more options and cosmetics and whatnot. So why the narfing hell they had to put a cap on is beyond me, but ‘balance’ sure as hell is not a valid reason.
well when everyone uses double xp and junk then yeah your gonna hit it no problem. I only hit it twice without it and it took most of the day. im lvl 59 about to be 60 and not used a single double xp. to me it just makes you hit the cap faster not lvl you higher then others. moral of my comment is dont use double xp.

You say that like everyone here lives in the bloody US of A. Some of us live in UK/Europe and don’t even have that stupid offer.
Heaven forbid some of us just like playing the game in spare time/free weekend with friends. Not like 343 should encourage people to keep playing…OHWAIT.

Yup, know what you mean Im from the USA, but I only have 1 day to play. I have a window of 5 hours to play a week. I personally think if someone is hitting the cap they should have more than one thing to do. Halo is great but jeeze take a break go learn something so you dont work in fast food all the time…lol. Although I am not fan of a cap (although never would run into it) I get the idea of it. Especially with load outs. I played one day came back 4 days later and everyone had all the power weapons unlocked because of the people who just sit on this game. People take a break go outside and see the sun once ha ha.
