I just got muted for the 3th week.Last week was the second and today is the third…I dont know why they keeping doing that for no reason but if anybody have a suggestion or can help me out that will be very nice because this is becoming very abusing and frustrating now.

Well, do you use a mic?
If so, what do you say into that mic/what is the pitch of your voice. Most people will mute you based on what you say and/or how high your voice is. A number of people muting you will get you mic banned of course.
So, is there any reason people would mute you? Any reason at all (basically, do you use a mic).

People will mute you because of anything really. You speak another language than them? - Mute. I dislike your voice - Mute. I just love to mute - Mute.
While people are allowed to mute other people for whatever reason they want, no one should be banned. It’s simply the most idiotic concept ever, because the problem is already solved when the one person muted the other.
Do you have a Kinect? If so your tv sound and background noise is being heard by other players. And that is one of the worst sounds. Just turn of voice chat on the Kinect or unplug it.

^this. Halo is a game where sound is important. You’re doing something to make noise. If you are using Kinect, it often annoys people as it tends to pick up everything.
If you are not using Kinect, test your mic with a friend and make sure sounds normal. I had one that was filled with static and I had no idea until someone told me.
Of course i use my mic to communicate with my teamates and i have a regular mic not a kinec.Also,i have a different accent but i dont think that its the reason why i got muted.Sometimes there is some haters and rasists wwho are making fun of my accent but not that much.

I mute anyone with a mic in FFA playlists. I do it quite often in team ones also if I’m not playing with friends.
I cannot believe that there is ‘no reason’ for your mute ban: Headset, Kinect - there has to be some reason.

Well dude,i ve got muted the first week i was like ok,then 2 months later i got muted again and i got directly muted again after the 2 mute has end so…
That sucks, let me know if it happens for a 4st time.
I sympathise with ya dude. Same thing happened to me. I have no idea why. I am not abusive to anyone or use bad language yet I receive a weeks voice ban. I think this system is broken.

By doing this you are acually contributing to people getting a mute ban for no reason. Mute bans are handed down by mutes in game in a certain number of mutes. What that number is I have no idea, but by muting people when they don’t deserve it you are certainly contributing to it.

I tried changing the voice chat options so I don’t have to hear people but for some reason unless if I fully mute people I still hear them in FFA lobbies.

Even on “Team and Party”? Maybe just don’t use a mic in FFA? I know that would work.
I’ve been running Team and Party since Halo 3 but for some reason it isn’t working in FFA lobbies for me. Better make sure I actually have it turned on though and didn’t turn it off by mistake!
That’s really abusing i can’t even communicate with my teamates also with my friends sometimes when i join them in the game…
