Hello I just finished playing a match of Big Team Battle in Halo 5 and when I backed out I got a notification saying I’ve been permanently banned from playing Halo 5 although I’ve done nothing wrong. If anybody could help with this situation I’d be very happy. Thank you

killing teammates, idling (being afk for too long), and repeat quits will result in a temp ban.
My guess you stood still for way to long. If you were banned that is

Permanently banned?
You only have 5 or 6 DNF, that shouldn’t be a permanent ban. Are you sure it said permanent???

Taking into account my trash connection I shouldn’t be banned for lagging out of games as I will admit I lag put often, but it will I be unbanned or this this permanent
When you are banned, it shows a timer in the message.
Your ban is temporary just look at the timer on the screen and it will tell you how much time is left.

Just take the lost, you wouldnt be banned if you did. If your worried about stats then know a dnf is worse than a loss. Yes i’ve been in 1v4s way to much and we were winning before they decided to quit.
PS you earned it then. The ban is working as it should. Also by now that ban should be over. Theyre at max 30 min. i believe.

the worst part is Breakout, i can be betrayed each round and the offender receives no punishment based on how the rounds work
so if i lose my immortal because a window licker wants to betray his teammates for a giggle i am going to quit

The ban hammer only takes into account matches you physically quit out of NOT server connection loss, i know this because i have probably had hundreds (im not even joking) of “connection to halo servers lost” messages and they kick me out of a game. I dont like that it shows up as DNF on your service record though because a DNF is way worse than a loss.
