The Grunt Goblin with the Scarab gun has the same initial screech sound that the actual Scarab has! When I first heard it my heart melted with joy. I had thought when I started to fight him that a new sound would be made but the only part that changed was the firing sound.
Nothing terrifies and excites me more than that roar.
Never noticed it to be honest. Do you think they should bring Scarabs back? I really do. They were so awesome to take down; Halo 3 made you feel like a boss each time you did. Launching a mongoose onto the top deck, beating down Brutes on the way, destroying the shields, planting a 'nade, and getting out before it explodes like a firework display. So cool.
There’s something to be said for the nostalgia of hearing the sound, but would you rather have the actual thing?
WZFF would be so cool if the last round in each game was a boss like the Scarab. Imagine a scarab dropping in and you have to take it down. However, considering you would have level 8 reqs, they can give it a health bar, but to be allowed to start damaging it with vehicles, you have to infiltrate it and take out its core like in Halo 3. This would be purely epic.

Even though this sounds quite fun, to make it harder, 343 may make it where if you destroy the core it only takes a certain amount of health from it. I think it might become much harder if they brought the scarab in, they would have to either make it where it is easier to destroy or increase the time of the round.

If Phantoms can be bosses in WZFF, then so can Scarabs. Although it would certainly be added in Halo 6 if at all.
Is it possible to destroy the Scarabs at the end of Halo Reach when you are driving the Mongoose?

Maybe a new type of BTB where one team tries to defend capture points against the other team could be implemented. After the defenders lose all of the points, they retreat to a working Scarab and try to keep it from blowing up. Not only would this be epic (and like Walker Assault in Star Wars Battlefront), it would be the perfect place to bring back playable Elites, to defend their turf and Scarab against Demons.

Now that, sounds fun, I miss becoming an elite and plus I think 343 would be able to bring more people back if you could play as an elite.

They are just platforms for AI to try and kill you from, you cannot destroy them.
They’ve reused old sound effects before. Here’s one I’m certain many haven’t noticed … if any:
… okay, well I was going to share a clip but apparently the DVR services are down and it won’t upload. So I’ll just tell you. You know the lift in the Halo 3 mission “The Storm” that you take to board to the Scarab? When you activate it has a distinct sound. That same sound is the noise the elevator makes on the Dawn in the first mission of Halo 4 just after clear the bridge and are heading down to the missile.

Yeah I also though they would have changed the sound too and when it first heard it I got so happy and scared at the same time

I ask that question every time I play one of 343’s Halo games. If it’s the Plasma Pistol, Plasma rifle, Ghost, Phantom, Sentinel beam, etc. change for the sake of change displeases me I’m glad it uses the same ol’ great sound effect

Yeah, I do not like the new look or sound of the Plasma Pistol. It’s dumb all around. I will say, the AR and SMG sound fantastic. And that boost noise the Wraith makes is cool as hell. Not all have been bad. Their magnums sound weird, though. Both Halo 4 and 5.
