I just don't get it.

I have to say, people who say things like this and over generalize the complaints can be just as bad as those who mindlessly hate.

OT: It’s been like this since Halo 2’s release. Not that it’s a good thing, but that’s just how it is.

I’m okay with legit complaints - this game has plenty of them. I still like the game, though. So much of these post-launch threads were lacking in patience, maturity, and/or dose of open-mindedness. They were also overboard with the hyperbole.

For me, that right there was a clue - a good argument doesn’t necessarily need it, so in a addition to disagreeing with their “halo is dead/failure/classic rulz” rhetoric I just assumed the majority (not all) of the haters were just kids.

Things have calmed down some. Hopefully that means people stopped trying to see a “3” after the Halo and accepted the “4” for what it is. Or they just left… I don’t miss 'em

To an extent, what Bucknut said. Most people are not fond of how Halo 4 is and view many of the new things as unneeded and overall harmful to the game. Now while the opponents of the majority have some valid points and their desires to keep certain things can be understandable and could work, most of the new things don’t help Halo at all.

The generalization of groups certainly does not help either, so please try to not generalize people, because I can assure you nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

interesting points I’m seeing here ._., has anyone notice that the thread you see yesterday suddenly disappear the next day?

Yep. It happens mostly because some people prefer to start their own thread about a particular topic instead of replying to someone else’s.

For example, this topic and these other recent topics are basically about the same thing:

Yet people defended bungie pre patch halo 2

How does that make them any better? We don’t need to repeat mistakes.

> The amount of people complaining is stupid, I find a lot of complaints unlegit reasons (but not all) and even seen death threats to 343 or people who support the game. I know there’s a difference between criticism and saying “343 sucks”. The people who give criticism to 343 and make a subjection to help fix it, I give them a pat on the back.

Where?

> The people who just hate and make threats should just stop. I don’t see why they bother, I’m guessing for attention, but there going to far. I seen people tell everyone nothing but negative things about halo 4 and don’t say anything good about it (I seen it this happen with reach actually). I can understand that’s there opinion but everyone else will have a different experience or opinion.

Maybe they don’t see anything good about Halo 4? Yeah, of course it’s their opinion, but you’re entitled to your own as well. If you see something negative said about the game, say something positive.

> One thing I don’t get is yes the game has it flaws, but why can’t you do stuff to make the game fun. A game is never fun until you make it fun. Like get together with friends, mess around in costem games, team up and use communications to help win a game and if you lose but still felt good despite losing a game that’s fine. I did it all the time in halo ce, halo 2,halo 3, halo reach, even halo 4. There’s no such thing as the perfect game. It’s also good to remember those small good moments.

No, there isn’t such a thing as a perfect game. But your suggestion to “make the game fun” doesn’t amount to much. You say mess around in Custom games, alright then, let’s play Assault…oh wait. How about we play Flood and give the Flood rocket launchers…oh wait. Let’s play race…oh wait. Custom games are STILL broken and flawed. You say communicate as a team to make the game fun, well let’s say communication breaks down real quick when the game decides to give the other team better Ordinance than you. Oh, that’s a nice Concussion Rifle I’ve got, what are those two red lines pointing at me? Binary Rifled. Alright I’m respawned now and BAM hit by a Fuel Rod.

There comes a point where things stop being fun.

> How can halo be dead after one game?
> 343 realize there mistakes and will do better next time. You can’t condemn a franchise after one game.

There were 7 Halo games released before Halo 4, 6 if you exclude CEA as a remake. It didn’t stack up to well the previous ones so it isn’t impossible to condemn it

> I don’t know, I feel like a large amount of the community is ruining halo.

The community didn’t make a flawed game, they just reacted to it.

> Please no hate just express what you think about what I said. If you think I’m wrong well that’s fine.

I think a lot of what you said means well, but misses the bigger picture. It’s easy to say the community sucks, but that just ignores the game and it’s flaws. Granted you admitted it had some, also granted you didn’t really go into details on what they were. You like the game, nothing wrong with that. But after how many of these threads you’ve made and you still don’t get it…who can really help you understand?

And would you please stop breaking down everything I say and turning it around -_-

> And would you please stop breaking down everything I say and turning it around -_-

I only break down posts point by point so it is easier to tackle each point. Now if I happened to get the meaning of certain points wrong, let me know so I can reply to them in their proper context.

I get the feeling that most of the ‘crazy rants’ are due, in no small part, to this.

Or, more likely, this. You don’t need to be mentally ill to be stupid on the Internet.
