I mean, I complete all the weekly challenges in less than 6 hours play time every week as a solo que player. And I don’t really have to throw games to do the challenges either.
This seems like at least partially a you problem
.
I guess I’ve been playing Halo MP regularly since CE though, so maybe it’s just that I know how to easily complete most challenges based on past experience and it makes it hard to empathize.
Wow, you’re so impressive. Maybe I honestly don’t give two $&*"# what you think, and I’m not going to sit here and tryhard unreasonable challenges that are just RNG and have nothing to do with skill in order to gain a dumb backdrop, when I could be playing better games.
Oh wow. I’m so impressed that you have magical powers that make you able to get The right kind of matches you need to finish your challenges while I’m stuck completely unable to get stronghold. Good for you. Go troll somebody else. I’ve been playing since combat evolved too, and I just don’t like the bs this game has become because I have standards.
i have one word to some up this game in its entirety BORING, its just patheticlly BORING

I agree, and if it had engaging progression systems, aesthetically pleasing stuff to earn or buy at reasonable prices, in a couple of other tweaks it would be really fun. What do you think?
Yeah, honesty I feel bad for this game. It’s fun but it’s issues make it hard to enjoy. It’s sad that games in general have lowered in quality so much. People use the excuse that games are more complex but really a lot of games have developmental issues more than actually issues with the actual making of the game.
I am pretty much getting disappointed in this game. Potential is one thing but clear incompetence (if you are familiar with the dev process and studio issues EDIT: with 343 Studios) have left a bad taste. Horrible b-day present.

I mean i don’t do anything special. If you have an oddball or strongholds challenge just play ranked for like an hour and you’ll definitely get the mode you need enough to at least have a chance at finishing the oddball/strongholds specific challenge…
I feel like you’re behaving like having to play multiple gametypes is the end of the world.
Sorry if the argument you’re making in this post is so flimsy that you think insulting people is the only way to get your point across. Normally that just means your stance has no weight to it though
I have a degree in statistics and write three different coding languages in my regular work responsibilities, but sure, I’m “not smart.”
I understand RNG is involved in getting te correct game modes for challenges. I also understand that selecting the playlist with the highest likelihood to get that game type solves the one major issue you and “a majority” seem to be complaining about on these forums.
I just think this issue is being way over exaggerated by you and “a majority of the players”.

Ots not just Covid in general development has gotten more expensive due to the advancements in gaming and hardware. Look at Forza Horizon 5 the cost to simply licence those vehicles and than render the whole environment to look photorealistic to some degree on next Gen consoles and PC is beyond expensive.
Hell people think a PC build is expensive imagine the cost to maintain the damn software for a game on a network in real time for that many PC users on multiple connections.
The AC bill alone for those server rooms must be insane. We have entered a world where gaming has become much more profitable and consumer centric that cost have generated beyond what developers can keep up with.
Game developing went from what it would cost to get a Chevy Tahoe fully loaded and upkeep to the cost of a McLaren 720s and Upkeep.
God only knows what it’s going to look like 10 yrs from now when games are beyond next gen and tech has become more expensive.
It honestly kinda worries me because as gaming becomes more popular more demanded of high quality, than the indie developers are going to become slaves to the larger franchises.
This is why gaming is the way it is.
Activision does it the cheapest. Their games are not innovative rather just copy and paste but it keeps them afloat I guess.
Halo on the other hand was always sapoosed to be original with their approach, but sadly they to must asnwer to executives and provide reasons for future investment and how to turn a profit.
That’s the world of gaming we are in now, it sucks but when a feature isn’t in the game the first thing that comes to mind is was it going to drove a good initial profit for 4th quarter sales reports.

What the aspect that the challenge system. Along with the game is design to passively influence you into purchasing challenge swaps since they are only 200 credits a piece.
SBMM in social, and mandatory cross input is what kills it for me.
I do agree with a lot of what you’re saying, OP. In regards to stat tracking I’m of the opinion that not having encourages people to play the objective instead of hiding away to protect their precious public K/D. Seeing how important it is for you, maybe it should have an opt out?
I agree with most of what you said except for the thing about indie developers. Honestly the indie scene is alive and well. I mean… Okay I’m kind of stretching it when I say Hades is Indy, but it’s not exactly AAA either, and it did very well. Also valheim. But yeah, I know that’s where it’s heading, and I know that’s why, and I just have depressingly been watching it for like 20 plus years. I worry too.
The other problem is right now there’s no benefit to playing the objective if your challenges don’t align with whatever the objective is. But yeah, cross input being forced is garbage. There needs to be win bonuses, and win streak bonuses just like Halo reach had!
initial sales yes Jedi Fallen order made good money and still holding ok in population, but when you want to catch as many consumer gamer markets as possibly and. Ring I’m new people, they went free to play live service method
Long run it’s more profitable because they can justify microtransactionsa heavily,
They can also release the game with barely any content and state they will add it in later.
You will notice alot of Live service games release very bare bones and give you Future updates in the form of thins that should have been in game day one.
Trust me when I heard the words free to play and love service I already knew this game was going to be delayed, and than released with features missing.
They even delayed season 2 extended season 1 without adding more Teirs,
And before we started to come together as a community and demand change they planned on drip feeding us content, mostly behind a paywall.
Remebr in Halo 5 we had 48 base colors at and in Halo Infinite they gave us 10 and are reselling us the other 38.
That’s the me tott behind the whole Live service. They don’t have that much “new content” to last them the 10 yrs. They just decided to resell us existing content and drip feed it to last them that long and fill their “new” events.
Granted I don’t buy stuff and thanks to a ton of gamepass points and GameStop cashed in cards I’m solid to not have to pay for a Battlepass for the next 20 seasons.
But yea man, so ma y things got scrapped from the game because their marketing team and executives didn’t see it as profit value.

Yep. 100%. I don’t know. I’ve been pretty harsh against them in this thread, but I do appreciate the hard work they are doing, and I also appreciate that they’re listening to the community. So I still have hope that it’s going to get better. It is possible to keep the greedy shareholders and the community happy at the same time. It’s just that nobody has really figured out a way to do it yet. But that doesn’t mean it’s not possible!
Well I mean some people have done it. I’m pretty sure Warframe has stayed fairly profitable during its entire existence. And I was really happy with that game when I was a fan. But usually it’s one or the other.

There is a stat tracker. It’s a website. Halo Infinite Tracker. Go to it, type your GT, voila. You have plethora of statistics. KD, Win rate, accuracy, etc.
A couple of questions. Are you talking about halotracker.com? And also someone in another thread said it just tracks ranked. Is that true?
No it doesn’t just track ranked. It tracks every statistics in every playlists you’ve played. Your overall too. Everything, have fun, it is absolutely awesome! Yes Halotracker.com

While it is good news the API still exists, and Halo tracker is still tracking it, it still needs to be available in game. Being able to easily “stat check” your teammates and opponents was like half of Halo back then, And that is a quality of life feature that needs to be there today. Thanks for letting me know that though. Very helpful.

Oh yeah for sure. I have to stat-track people who like to lie about themselves and it takes abit trying to check them. It’d be more widespreadingly used and very accessible if it was ingame. I 100% agree with you. For now, we have this, we can appreciate this, until we get this in the UI.
