First of all, because he has a million bodies and only one mind, so it makes sense that he’d make a few appearances.
BUUUUUUT:
He needs more bodies. I enjoyed fighting Sword Warden the first time as each team. As far as gameplay went, it established to me that it was indeed the same character and surprised me (but I killed him on Meridian, what’s he doing on Genesis??!!) After that, he did get bogged down in being repetitive: appears in a big arena/platform area, there’s just enough cover to dodge his ranged attacks, shoot him in the glowies! The only change was now there’s two or three of him, also more smaller prometheans.
In addition to the Sword Warden, there should be other forms of the warden, just off the top of my head, here’s a few ideas:
A 4-legged wall crawling warden and his weakest points are in his leg joints. You shoot off his legs one by one. He might crawl up on the ceiling and ground pound you.
A flying warden that resembles H2’s enforcer.
A warden made of multiple promethean soldier/knight bodies (think Ghosts of Onyx sentinels). He might dismember himself into individual soldiers, then reform himself. (It might be during this phase that he’s vulnerable and destroying a soldier will result in a warden missing a few pieces next time he reforms).
Each type has a different style of battling the spartans.
No please god no. I’d rather play a endless library or flood level than fight warden again ever… A endless library sounds more fun and no shotgun at all on the map

Just thinking about fighting the warden again in Halo 6 made me wax poetic and channel my inner T.S Elliot :).

No. Eff the Warden Eternal. I sincerely hope whoever designed him has gotten sacked at 343. They have failed on an epic scale to implement any sort of meaningful boss fight. You want the same Eternal guy? Fine, but you should really give him different bodies instead of copy and pasting him in each campaign level. Bring back the Didact, acknowledge he’s corrupted Cortana in Halo 5, and fix your terrible story.
I hate Halo’s trend of Saturday morning cartoon bad guys. Nearly every boss is introduced and killed in the same game (Sesa Refumee, Tartarus, Regret, Mercy, Didact) Only Gravemind and Truth have survived to die in the immediate sequel.
Jul Mdama wasn’t introduced in a campaign and was killed in mission 1 of Halo 5. If I hadn’t played Spartan ops or read the books/comics I would have no idea who he was at all.
Currently Warden and Cortanab(and theoretically Didact) are the only current bad guys that could be a recurring enemy that is always 1 step ahead of you and in another castle.
