Why must i keep getting games with american/or western players in general? 1. I have nothing against American/Western side. 2. I find it infuriating to get matches with them on american servers, because of the sheer advantage they get; for example; Player 1(UK) gets the jump on Player 2(USA) with shots in the back. Player 1(UK) doesnt miss shots, but Player 2(USA) can turn around shoot a few bullets and im down. This happens time and time again, around the UK GMT time of 12-2am. All the way up to that point is plain sailing good servers/good connection. Why must you match us in american servers? I want a “This region ONLY” button. Where it searches Europe ONLY no matter what. I couldnt care less about the wait. It just losing to unsporting players that think teabagging is good? just because they had an advantage of lag. Everyone here has probably experienced this in Europe when facing USA players, and VISA VERSA. P.s i really have no problem with the western side. Surely you can see where lag would infuriate someone. You really wouldnt like lag for you guys.
PP.s I dont play Mcc, or the original halos at all, hence the iron rank, before you critisise that.
American player here. I sympathize. It’s also just as bad for us in previous Halos when we have to play on a EU/AUS host. Region locking needs to be a thing.

If there was ever something invented that would give us great conection to each other then by all means, sign me up.
You say this like this isn’t a problem for everyone. The hit registration in this game is complete trash, sometimes it works right, most times it doesn’t. Sometimes it takes 4 direct heads shots with the DMR to kill, other times it takes an entire clip of direct head shots with the DMR to kill. While your location may factor into it, there are issue with the game itself that affect this and even if you live an hour away from the others in the game it can still affect you.

I dont really have this issue. I only get this sort of “hit registration” problem when its americans that i play or AUS. this is not a dig it might be your aim, or possible just some of the bullets were not hitting. But then again, the bullet magnetism is a joke so it should hit
Out of curiousity why has there not been any INFO as to WHY there is no region lock?
Im sick of not being able ot play due to playing against people on the other side of the world. The advantage is unbareable. Im no way in hell preordering this game.

Don’t pre-order. If MCC is any indication, H5 will be a disaster at launch anyways. I’ve decided I won’t be buying it at release either.
As for why there isn’t region lock? Well, same reason they got rid of theater I’d imagine. Laziness.

I just cannot believe theyre saying nothing to us about it? Yeah i agree the launch will be dire. They just didnt test MCC at all, but that was Microsofts fault and not 343. As they were rushed.
Now this region lock issue is a joke, i cant have fun on a game when people have an advantage. It’s just annoying.
Just earlier today I was in a match on Pegasus. I turned around to shoot a guy behind me, and he didn’t start shooting until I was already turned around. He killed me, and on his killcam I saw that he started shooting at me when my back was turned and then my spartan spins around like The Flash and starts shooting back.
Same problem here from Aus, tho I learned just to stop playing the beta & won’t even bother with H5 unless details about these issues are revealed before release.

I feel the same way bro, sorry youre getting this issue too. 343 don’t really care about our opinions. Surely a simple region lock would be easy to sort.

Happens a lot, once the western side wakes up im afraid. I would rather longer searches for a better conenction than to get in one and be annoying and angry over the team getting an advantage or not getting 4 shotted.
Come on guys, at least say something, you know youll be moaning when it comes down to release date and youre getting constant lagging games from american/aus servers or visa versa
