It won’t. The Thursday War will come out in October, and 343 has confirmed that the game will come out after.

Why should an unconfirmed game come out before Halo 4?
BTW Black Ops 2? Did you ever even beat the campaign of Black Ops? How would they even make a Black Ops 2? It would have to be a totally different story with different characters. If they did that, there would be no point in calling it Black Ops 2. There isn’t even a new CoD confirmed yet. People who say Black Ops 2 will be the next CoD are dumb. That, or they never beat the campaign of Black Ops.

If its based off the cold war again then there is aboustley nothing they can do… They can’t add in new guns if they’re trying to make it realistic with the time…

COD fans are the most mindless fans ever, and complain about every new game (sound familiar?), but when the next one comes out, they just praise the one before it. If anything, a COD BO 2 would just make long-time fans like black ops and would automatically get top of the charts due to the largest fan base, advertising budget, filming budget, release hype, and budget for contracts with third party accessories. Did you see how many COD MOD 3 adds there were? it was like brainwashing anyone with an IQ of under 90.

november. Holiday ratings start there, and That is why COD is always on top of the ratings. they know when the season starts, and will only release COD games in november. If halo is to be up in the charts (which it will, if it gets high reviews) it needs to come out november, but that is a bit late for my taste. Probably September, because halo likes their fans more than a fake rating. The developers seem like good people to me.
Earlier today Xbox linked to their “Halo” Amazon merchandise page… and it says Halo 4 comes out in the fall, which I consider personally earlier than “Holiday” 2012. I’m led to believe we have another September release.
A few of us had this discussion at PAX, and we came to the conclusion that it will likely be in the final 3/4 of september, or if not then, the tuesday AFTER Call of Duty (so, the second tuesday of november).

Halo 4 is rumoured to come out at around 20 of october 2012
I just checked and Amazon is giving a release date of Dec. 31, 2012. Is that date just a placeholder?
