I think 343 shouldn’t just forget about Halo 4
They haven’t. But H4 is in the MCC.
they don’t care this glitched 360 version of h4 anymore. they want to release a new game to make more money. if you already buy the current game, deal with it
I think focus should go to the Xbox One.
Not only is Halo 4 also there, with its upgrades likely alleviating several issues with Halo 4, but they have Halo 5: Guardians on the way. Rather than continuing to try to clean up the past, at this point they should focus on making sure Guardians is incredible right out of the box. They made mistakes with Halo 4, so fixing those for the future should be a priority.
343 should fix the broken achievements for Halo 4 & then focus one XB1. That will lose tens of millions of dollars for MS long term. (I’m talking bigger than just MCC sales).
For example, I bought a windows phone, windows 8 and 4 versions of the same (sub-par) game to get my Waypoint to 461/461. I think Waypoint career is great and it makes it worth owning a console and other devices for.
If they give up on that, which has already been rumored they will in general (cap at 461 due to server issues, not ‘adding to career’) I’ll likely just stick with Steam games.
If they don’t fix the glitched achievements, I will DEFINITELY stick to Steam.
Now I’m just one random, I get that, but think about (different products in future, but I’ll use past here) one less phone, windows (I was fine with 7), and ALL games (I would only buy mainstream Halo games if not cool Waypoint career to max) sold. Also, far less XB1 (and future consoles) sold (only must have exclusive).
Not to mention XB1 sales (again, I ONLY, more or less, play Halo on console & can get all other games on Steam for cheaper with better graphics / mods). I also buy the books digitally… I love to soak in everything Halo. That is $.
So I’m worth well over $1,000 dollars, long term, for 343. But they are treating the achievement problem like a joke… and it’s starting to show. I have truly lost respect for the professionalism of 343. I still want a fix, and I’m not saying this out of rage. 343 has had a comical amount of time to fix the problem.
Quote me now, and I’ve said this for a few months, if these glitched achievements aren’t patched by 9/9/2014, guaranteed millions of dollars lost. If not by 11/11/14… tens of millions (remember, if I don’t buy / complete all Halo stuff… I wont buy any Halo stuff most likely (books, movies, same game over and over, consoles, etc)).
Ball is in 343 court and they are currently leading the league in turnovers.
PS: I want them fixed tomorrow. I want people to spam Halo over Destiny. I love Halo, it’s my favorite series hands down. I don’t want 343 to lose another penny to this.
Once they announce a new release of a game in a series, you can bet they closed the book on developing anything new for the previous release.

True, no NEW stuff. All the best companies absolutely fix achievement issues, however. Especially series THIS big.
Technically this should have been a hot fix within a month, not necessarily the next big TU (if any).
Truly remarkable at this point and likely not going to be fixed. It is what it is.

Maybe I was confused about the topic? I will definitely continue to post in the damage control thread as well. Please feel free to delete my above posts if you don’t think they have to do if whether halo 4 should be forgotten or added too.
My point is that I don’t think it should be added too, but should be supported (all of the examples or #s are support on why). I said plenty of good about 343. I like 343 and want nothing but good things for my favorite series in the future.
