I hope they kill off cortana in infinite.

Tell me why an E-babe can control master chiefs emotions to the point that he endangers the lives of others in the pursuit of her? (I use the term her loosely because cortana is as real as the windows 10 cortana on my pc). Master chief is better off with out cortana and should replace that emotional connection with the arbiter. Opinions?

Why would the Chief have the emotional connection with the Arbiter? They have mutual respect for each other, sure, but they were enemies for the longest time and only fought side-by-side for a brief time compared to Cortana. They’re friends at best. On the other hand, Cortana has been with him on and off for seven years and was with him when he thought he was the last Spartan. As Spartan’s aren’t really social soldiers, she was all he had. Hence the unique connection they share. She was there for him as much as he was for her.

… dude that’s a weird way to put it

also, I’m one of those people who was really mad at the arbiter and chief not having that bro moment in halo 5 :frowning:

Following up on what you said about them being there for each other, this was the main reason that started my strong belief in Cortanas redemption. Sure the Halo 5 Cortana was a simple Rampancy clone, but I still feel like Cortana would come back for Infinite, since it’s going to be the last Halo for who knows how long, this would be a big turning point for 343’s journey. I just feel like they wouldn’t do that to john without bringing her back, killing off, and making Cortana evil just didn’t seem like something permanent.

I mean… she thicc

Not kill to say but if they follow a Mendicant vs Offensive Bias route, I will be over the moon just by seeing that.
Honestly the battles and Rivalries between Mendicant and Offensive Bias are just too good to pass up on.

Cortana really needs to be killed off. Same with Chief. You can argue all you want, I am NOT changing my mind. Halo has already gotten stale with these two characters continuing to be around and in the spotlight instead of actually decent characters like Fred-104, Jun-A266, etc.!

Cortana is undoubtedly the worst Halo villain, period. Lord Achriman from Serious Sam 4 is a much better villain by comparison.

What if they kill cortana in a manner similar to the fight between Mendicant and offensive Bias
then both of us will be happy.

You’re not the only guy who wants Cortana gone.

A halo where you play as Jun and follow HIS story? Now you’re speaking my language.
