I love that 343i listened and made some pretty significant changes to the Tenrai event and made it into what it should’ve been to start with. I am hoping that, since they listened and made changes here, we can expect some major changes to the more significant issues the community has with the game. Both quality of gameplay changes (looking at you servers, desync, and collision) but also changes to the monetization system, quality of battle passes, extremely limited customization, and the like.
I know they’ve said they’re working on these things before we saw the improvements to the event but my hope is that “working on it” doesn’t end up meaning that the changes will be anticlimactic or hardly noticeable.
It kinda felt like a lot of these problems, especially with the monetization and customization, were attempts to get one over on the community by corporate entities to make more money and I hope they’ve been humbled by the response and will allow the devs to legitimately fix those problems. I’m not against a store or a paid battle pass. But they’re going to have to completely rework all of it to find an acceptable system that the community will get on board with. Anything short will only make things much much worse.
Here’s to hoping for a bright future for Halo Infinite!
