I hope there's a lot of interaction between..

Master chief and the Spartan IV’s. I find every generation of spartans to be really interesting and think it would be great if there’s a lot of dialogue and just general interaction between the IV’s and Chief. After all, he is their predecessor, they are based on him. It would be interesting to see what the IV’s are like and find out more about them e.g. what augmentations they have, their backgrounds, specialties, their characters in general.

Maybe a squad or two of them could be AI controlled allies for a mission or two? Why send marines or ODST’s out with the chief when you have a contingency of spartans?

Do you also think that the Arbiter-loyal elites might come into play. I recall seeing a phantom and a pelican moving side by side and not being hostile to each other somewhere in a video or trailer, can’t remember what now. I’d like to see some elite allies with the updated graphics, similiar to the elite allies in Halo 3.

I freaking agree with you. I love to see that side of the story, the character’s interaction with other important figures really does interest me, there was never enough of it in other Halos, but Halo 4 is really looking promising.

It’s doubtful Sanghelli loyalists will appear in Halo 4 nor will the Arbiter. Maybe in 5 and 6 but not 4.

Also, the Spartan IVs will be in the Campaign. Sara Palmer, the Commander of the Spartan IVs aboard infinity. There will be interaction between the two, this i don’t doubt. Plus, Palmer is voiced by Jennifer Hale :P. I am surprised no one mentioned that yet. Her voice easily recognizable. Finally…

This pic shows two Spartan IVs wearing Recruit armor behind MC. Most likely they will be AI’s that help you.

Yeah I remember seeing Palmer. I’m a bit disappointed that she has her last name though, I was hoping the IV’s would follow spartan “tradition” and be assigned numbers instead of last names. They almost sound too normal with a full name.

Yeah there’s another picture of those two IV’s in a warthog with the Chief outside a mammoth. I imagine they’ll probably be the co-op characters as well.

Actually, Frank confirmed in one of the panels that while playing Co-Op, you play as Chief clones. Just like CE.

I think that all ODSTs will just get taken into the spartan 4 program to make them better than they already are. Also, it would be interesting if the Chief didn’t respect the spartan fours because they didn’t have to go through what he had to, although it is highly unlikely that he would act that way. Just a thought though.

Given certain things I saw I hope there will be a lot of interactions between him and Palmer

One thing I want the chief to ask:

“Spartan 4? What about the Spartan 3’s?” Could be quite interesting to see how the Chief reacts to a bunch of kids being sent on suicide missions.

You have to remember though the two projects are extremely different in that regard.

In the class of Spartan IIs, the kids were abducted and replaced with expendable flash clones who would die shortly after. The kids would soon be trained, losing their last name and keeping their first only. Which is why many, if not all Spartans had the first name, followed by an ID number like John-117. Due to the severe mental conditioning that came as result of the program, many Spartans simply forgot their last names.

The Spartan IV program was much like the ORION project. It didn’t cross moral boundaries by kidnapping children and putting them through dangerous augmentation processes. Instead, those who stand out in the UNSC as exemplary soldiers and those in the special forces can volunteer to become Spartan IVs.

Because the Spartan IV program is much more “open” and less secretive than the Spartan II program, recruits do not have to surrender their last name and keep their identities.

That’s why she’s name Sarah Palmer instead of Sarah -118 or whatever :P.

Really? Fair do’s, thanks for the info.

I really hope that some of the IV’s are properly explored as characters (The same way some of the Spartan-II’s were e.g. Fred, Kurt, Kelly, Linda, Will etc). I want to find out more about them, see what they’re like. Do they have the almost inhuman discipline of the II’s and III’s or are they just marines on steroids? Sara Palmer for instance probably will be. I’d like to see her in the field as well. It’s stated that she wears Scout armour and her go-to weapon is the DMR so I reckon we’ll see her in combat.
