Hi everyone I just want to remind 343i that the translation at least on spanish latino-america was awful, because it was not well synchronized with the video and some other stuff like intensity or reactions but anyway i hope in Halo 5: Guardians they put more effort on those things that if is not well prepared makes you lose the game environment.

Yeah, in Halo 4 it was the worst in the series by far, I may even say that I prefer the neutro spanish translation that we got with Halo 2 (lol no). It was a pain in the -Yoink- but I could get over it, now It seems that although they could have made a better work (Buck not getting Nathan Fillion’s voice in spanish nor the same of Halo ODST) It’s much better than Halo 4. Here’s the Halo 5 official first intro in spanish (spain) Halo 5 - Secuencia inicial [ESPAÑOL] 1080p 60fps - YouTube . I still hope that they let us play it in english with subs in spanish, one can dream.
you obviously speak english so why even use the spanish translation? as a spanish speaking person I really cant relate to people wanting dubs over subtitles or something it really isnt as good as the original

I haven’t tried it with games but I know that having something dubbed in my other native language over English is actually highly distracting for me. I can see the mouths speaking English and it doesn’t line up with the words I’m hearing. It’s incredibly distracting in movies and if it’s the same in a game, I would probably have to stop because it would drive me batty.

Some people (like me) can understand well enough english but have a hard time keeping focus with all the action and other sounds in the game, that could get worked out if they let us use subtitles but as now we couldn’t do that in any Halo game. Here in Spain you don’t even have the option to turn the language to english without changing the console region. Other people just dosen’t understand english so they don’t give a damn if the dubs are worse, or they don’t like to have to read the subtitles while playing. That said the level of translation that countries like Mexico or Spain do It’s pretty decent, Halo 3 was perfect, but in 4 we had this problem with the sync.
Hey man, I am Dutch and they add Dutch subs since H4. Those are awefull, I could not stand a full Dutch translation. Then again, noting gets translated here, only subed (except for cartoons offcourse).

because there’s no option in the game to change if you want english over other language, but I don’t mind that so much that because I almost always buy the US version and the one of my country (Mexico), but in H4 the Sync was really bad, that bad that makes you skip the films

That’s good I would prefer subs that a poor dub like H4 one, I expect H5 have the option to choose the language.

It shouldn’t be that difficult for them to put the option, they already have the english voices and subs, one simple download could make the game far more enjoyable for many people. For example Nightfall in spanish felt cheap, english improved it a lot, and although I’m used to the spanish chief voice I would still put the game in english with subs.

I’m from Mexico too and I don’t think there will be a change language option. Not sure if changing the settings on the xbox would make it work… I did hate how the voice didn’t fit the mouth movements but welp :T

In Spain if you change the console region the game’s language changes too, I think that It should work in Mexico as well.
For everyone who does not like dubs: change your xbox settings!
A friend of mine change his local settings to U.S., that way he can buy cheaper games because the Dollar is at a lower rate then the Euro and thus the games are cheaper. The big plus is that all the games are in english too, english subs, dubs, etc.

Haha this is exactly what I can’t do. I’d rather deal with knowing they don’t speak English in Paris than have things out of whack.
