From what I hear, you can frankly grab on to anything with the grapple hook. You can grab banshees, guns, fusion coils, enemies, terrain, probably even players. Sounds like something the company really wanted to encourage with open world, but honestly it sounds like a crutch in my opinion. Like from my perspective, it feels like a handicap to what we used to do in Halo campaigns.
Hopefully its a lot more difficult to use, otherwise, I don’t want to know that the campaign is reliant on the grapple hook.

I just believe it will bring a benefit of exploration and skull hunting that for sure
For the banshee, they mentioned that grappling onto a banshee is not something that can happen every 10 minutes into the game. It requires skill and has to be done right. Grappling guns off the ground also requires skill, and I’m sure the grappling hook has at least a 5 second cool down, and minor to no aim assist when using it, making it much more difficult to use and requiring skill.
Im just looking forward to using it to explore the open world
This is an old thread but I think it has relevance - after playing the campaign…. I feel that the grapple hook just makes everything so easy - killing bosses, stealing vehicles to name but a few - what do people think?
