God forbid we do something difficult for once. Besides, you can singlehandedly stand by the upstairs REQ station with a BR and hold out against everything that comes in. The key is to prevent the Knights from all coming together in the first place.
That round is a filter that sifts the children from the Spartans.
I think it should change, but remain difficult. They shouldn’t spawn in the base, and I don’t think there should be a kill limit. Just hold it for five minutes against increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
Ultimately, this is the only round that earns the Firefight moniker IMO. I hope we see more like it.

I’m with you. I want more of this type of thing - not less.
I’m with you. It’s the one challenge that feels challenging. Honestly I wish there were more like it. Round 5 isn’t even hard, it’s just a damage sponge that puts you against the clock and the only deciding factor is how many people decide to pull out tanks.
Agreed, but it does need to change a bit. To feel more like a defense objective. Perhaps some sort of Generator Defense running for a full five minutes?

In my experience of success. The Baeton is needed.
Here is why.
I start every round 3 in the garage. Assassinate the Soldier on the top floor and kill the remaining 3 crawlers. Go to the station, grab a Splinter Turret (think that’s what it’s called) Walk over to the staircase looking down on enemies as you rain shots. Watch out for the soldiers nades… When you either run out of ammo or get sniped by a nade (score should be somewhere in the 35-40s-100) Grab a plasma pistol, stun the Phaeton, hijack it. Spawn kill enemies as they pop in and pile shots through the top opening of the base.
Doing this and hopefully having a decent team will get you to the next round and a free Phaeton to use in the last two rounds!

Thanks but no. If the there is only a single way to win over there being a verity of options to win then the game mode is broken and needs to be redone. So far having people up top from the beginning is the only winning strategy and it’s really annoying nothing else works. Nothing else is that one sided in firefight, so it needs to be addressed and adjusted to better suit other approaches.

How is that round that’s not always guaranteed to appear the “filter”?
Anyway, just spawn a Plasma Pistol, steal the Phaeton, Boom, easy pickings. You can basically clear the top floor of the garage unopposed while the others enter from there.

Round 5 costs the UNSC one million shekels in munitions alone, I’d bet.

So… An entire round of crawlers, a few soldiers that act like -Yoinks!-, and a super challenging 2 knight finale… Great idea! This way warzone firefight can be like playing the first level of the campaign on easy over and over!
Ive only failed once, but this was with a team that used automatic weapons all game and nearly failed the round one killing crawlers… Me and one other guy had more than double anyone else’s kills it was just sad. I messaged the worst guy and said he should use br and pistol , he replied "what’s br? " and then asked me to play minecraft with him haha
I agree. Halo 5 is full of whiney little cry babies saying “Nerf this weapon because I can’t adapt and overcome.” Then we get one hard round on FF and they act like it’s impossible
