The basic fundamental of your average marine or elite is the follow you, shoot with you, trade weapons, load in vehicles. Maybe some extra mechanics to improve on that. I just hope it doesn’t turn out to have your allies be in some central pup; standing around until you talk to them about missions or side stories like Destiny. And not like Halo 5, where the marines and elites can go nowhere and you cant trade or get them in vehicles… at all. Most of all, the long stretch, other FPS game AI like CoD where they don’t kill anything but look dramatic and taking cover randomly.
The simple design of the average team AI is the best.
Hope it behaves like Halo 5 but better, where if you’re waiting for a revive from an AI, they’re more likely to actually reach you instead of getting stuck on geometry or something
Get the impression that this might be pretty much absent from the campaign though, what we’ve seen so far indicates it will be a Chief solo adventure unless you’re playing co-op. You definitely won’t have a squad with you for the entire game. Plus if the Far Cry: Halo vibes turn out to be correct, having a squad follow as you aimlessly roam around the open world wouldn’t feel right or make sense

Im not talking about Squad AI. I was talking about marine AI. I dont want squad AI to come back. It took oht many mechanics for marine AI for the sake of squad commands that didnt even work well.
