I hope sprint isn't going to be in Halo 4.

Not as a feature that you always have, or an AA. I hope to GOD there aren’t any armor abilities. Maybe as a piece of equipment like Halo 3 has. I have a giant list of this stuff on the Bungie forums. Got banned cause I was “spamming.” Didn’t spam. Just used sarcasm to say something. I get unbanned tonight if anyone wants to see it.

There shouldn’t be any AA’s in the game, but I would think that sprinting would be a nice new feature just in general to have. Me personally, I love Sprint in Reach. It gets me out of a lot of bad situations.

Spamming what exactly?

I got banned in the Bungie forums because they said I was spamming. I used sarcasm to say something, then I said I was being sarcastic.

I actually hope it is, sprint should be default because I don’t see how it changes the pace of the multiplayer. The pace is entirely up to you, if you camp, the pace is slow but if you’re eager to get some action or to even find cover in a legitimate way, then sprinting is the way. That said however, it should be like the AA which is only in bursts.

  1. That made no sense.

  2. Let me give you an example. Halo: Reach. Blood Gulch. DMR starts. Everyone camps on the side of the mountain. It plays nothing like it did in Combat Evolved.

  3. Doesn’t really seem like Halo.

I agree, Halo does not need sprint.

> I agree, Halo does not need sprint.

True story bro.

Although I hope AA’s are removed if they were to leave on of them in the game this could be the one. All the rest can go.

if i can run…master chief can too…like duh

> if i can run…master chief can too…like duh

If I can move my eyes without turning my head, everyone can too! Let’s make that a feature in the game! While we’re at it, lets be able to blink!

/sarcasm

Sprint is the only acceptable AA, to me, that should be in Reach or any Halo. If Halo 4 has a return to a 4sk main weapon, be it DMR or BR, I would be fine with Sprint being in. I would also be fine with no AAs being present in Halo 4. They slow the game down too much. AL is absolutely a cheap way to recover from mistakes and is a crutch for an out-manuevered opponent.

Sprint takes away from smart players. People use to spend 12 hours a day on lockout on H2 so they could learn the maps geometry. Knowing where you are going without looking made a good Halo player. You didnt need sprint to get away from an attack. Your knowledge of the maps layout and knowing a quick rout to evade the attack made you a good player. Sprint takes that away and Team Classic shows it. Turn the walk speed up to 125 and make the jump height 110 and it’s plays way better.

2: that’s the DMRs fault not sprint… the ability to shoot across the map killed maps like Blood gulch

Does the word Magnum mean anything to you?

Because I remember killing people across the map while in LAN parties. Blood Gulch is dead, but is not only because the DMR.

And I disagree with you, Sprint should be a built-in ability, like Crysis or Call of Duty. Without it the game is too slow.

The only thing I hate is double melee with Sprint, but let 343i fix it.

Halo 1-2. Halo Reach Team Classic, Halo 3 MLG. fast pace with out sprint…Try again.

I agree. Sprint needs to go or kill times need to be shortened significantly. Its way too easy to disengage in reach. If they do keep it in, they need to make a multi directional speed boost, rather than forcing the player to look in which direction they want to go. Closing in for melees is too easy with sprint due to the fact thats it only works in one direction.

Yes, but they’re irrelevant now. We are talking about Reach and Halo 4, and if 343i plan on doing 4 anything like Reach, they might as well put built in sprint.

And Team Classic is also irrelevant since onle is played by like 400 people and has -Yoink- maps.

Yet it is more fast pace is it not? Which means sprint does not speed it up because you cant simply run for the hills. You have to get away with smarts. If you don’t have smarts your dead.

I could maybe see where you were coming from if you said you don’t won’t AA’s, but not wanting sprint and evade is like saying I want a spartan to be just like a normal human being. This is a game about super soldiers sir, not the US armies handicap division.

AA’s are tactical. If you can use them well, you have an advantage.

Apart from armour lock. I love AL. Why? Because I can easily take out any reinforcements while the poor dude’s sitting there, and I’ve learned the timings to pop a 'nade riiiiight when he comes out. Then there’s the customary -Yoink!- for using AL…
