I Hope Jetpack does not return.

I understand that AAs probably won’t be in matchmaking, but it does not exclude them being equipment has in Halo 3. If some return as equipment/power ups, I really really hope that jetpack does not return. It feels like a game exploit.

Right, the jetpack is an exploit yet I’m sure BXR is totally legit.

What if it was a campaign only power-up or equipment? I wouldn’t have an issue with that.

I love the jetpack but it does need to go. It was even more hilarious in Halo 4 where you could either jetpack to safety or run away to safety. Which of course, was all Halo 4 gameplay was about. Running away and hiding if you were losing.

Maybe I missed something, but where did the BXR thing come from? Seems off-topic.

OP: I agree. The inclusion of Jetpack required maps to be built with the feature in-mind. And defeated the purpose of stairs.

No one said otherwise.

343i has stated that loadout AAs will not be in Halo 5, so no worries. Perhaps Jet Pack will be one of the new base player abilities, but I hope not.

I’m going to have to disagree, OP. I’d like to see the Jetpack return…

But as a vehicle.

RB and LB to go up and down, Y to lock altitude, destroyable, and allows the player to use their own weapons.

In essence, it’s identical in function to the jetpacks used by Elite Rangers in Halo 2. And if destroyed, the subsequent explosion will knock out the players shields.

Dunno if it would work.

Or Perfect Dark Zero.

That seems like the most likely outcome at this stage.

I wouldn’t mind if bullet fire could interrupt the jetpack. Or, heh, why not damage it like shooting clay birds? This is an update Halo 4 could receive in the Master Chief collection.

I want a Jump Pack. This is the better alternative.

I absolutely hate the Jet-pack because it totally destroys the map flow and have access to high elevation areas.

> I absolutely hate the Jet-pack because it totally destroys the map flow and have access to high elevation areas.

The issue wasn’t the jet pack concept but rather the unlimited use and ability of an entire team to use it. On map pickup with limited fuel makes the jet pack a tool to be used just like any power weapon that has limited ammo.

I was pointing out how absurd it was to call it a jetpack where it functions the way it was designed. It would be an exploit if the jetpack was never in the game yet somehow people could fly.

Well I did say it feels like an exploit.

and I feel like flag juggling is an exploit. Yet some people will spend days arguing with me to prove me wrong.

I think you just need to adapt.
