Ironically, Halo Infinite’s promo videos were all about anyone but the Chief. One was the video of the lady who invented the Grapple, the other was the dude who captured the Jackal’s Shield bracer which led to the Spartan’s Mjolnir.
Honestly wouldn’t have minded a Contact Harvest game, playing as Sgt Johnson.
Honestly dlc doesn’t matter to me. The overall narrative between halo 4-infinite is just garbage. Nothing can really salvage or retroactively make these campaigns better.
Infinite would have been the worst campaign in franchise history but halo 5 also exists so I guess it’s second worst. I really found nearly nothing redeemable in infinite. Except maybe the pilot.
I’d rather have a complete do over of halo 4 with chief waking up from cryo except this time we have skilled writers who get halo and chief.
I’m not going to talk about the show as I know I can’t be impartial enough to give proper criticism so I’ll just say that as an Halo fan that show isn’t for me. Maybe I’m just not good enough of a fan to like it, it is what it is.
I also hope Infinite isn’t the last MC experience but Infinite is supposed to last a lot of time so I’m guessing we’ll be getting expansions that expand his story? There’s honestly a lot of characters missing in Infinite such as ODSTs, Blue Team and the Arbiter so I would hope we also get to see them in some form other than audio logs.
Anyways, Halo without the MC isn’t Halo unless it’s a one time thing like Reach or ODST. I don’t think anyone would want to invest in a new character at this point.

Well, they most likely won’t. I’m not saying it in a way that I want them to continue being devs. I’m neutral about it. But they most likely won’t.

The bottom line though is money. Chief earns real world money, the boy will be kicking into perpetuity and its sad and pathetic.

It would be easier to let the Master Chief go if he wasn’t so poorly represented in Halo 4,5 and the show. Infinite improves the image, but not enough.
