I hope I'm not asking for too much here but..

Assuming halo xbox one is a first person shooter, I think the game will be a little bit more immersive if every helmet had a different styled HUD. It’s been something I have been wanting to see done ever since Reach. And for those who do not want this, make an option to switch the HUD to the default HUD.

Yessssss. Plus, different colors, plus widget mapping (i.e. placing the shield bar, motion sensor, other stuff wherever you want)!

I was thinking of leaving that to the helmet. so that way you don’t wear the helmet cause of the way it looks but to wear the helmet cause of how the HUD layout is for that specific helmet

We should just be able to customize our HUD no matter the helmet.

The HUD is just software and they would make it which ever is the best layout, customizing it would serve no purpose.

Then why do we need different HUDs for different helmets?

Nope. I like it how it is at the moment. One HUD for campaign, one HUD for MP, one HUD for forge.
I wouldn’t mind another HUD or two, but only if there was another playable faction, such as elites.

Basically, designing a HUD takes a lot of time and effort - especially one as complex as Halo’s is.
The UI team could be working to improve other areas, such as menus and stuff - rather than spending all that time on something that very few people will truly appreciated.

If you can take your favourite 2 H4 helmets, and design believable HUDs for them - I might warm up to the idea.

Um, all you did was ask a question towards something that was an answer.

My bad bro, I quoted you on accident. No need to get defensive.

I think 343 should up the immersion a lot as long as its cosmetic. First person high jacks, and armor abilities, maybe if equipment comes back along with armor abilities those will be first person also. So basically the way they were before. I would like first person passenger seats also, since it was in ce.

I would like to see a true first person halo. Where it is always first person; from driving/piloting vehicles to armor abilities to assassinations to even dying.

I agree with this. If I want to wear Mark V, I want to wear Mark V and not have to deal with a different HUD.
