I just hope it’s not short. You know what I mean?
EDIT: I’m sure the campaign wont be short. I’m just doing my nightly Halo day dreaming thing.
PS: It’s hard to know that “campaign length” is a “common” forum topic when I work 14 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Of course no1 wants a short Campaign. We have no choice but to trust 343’s word it being a “halo sized campaign.” They say it long…

I’m sure it won’t be short, besides, we have spartan ops to look forward to even if it is short.

It’s a FPS game. You can’t expect a 20 hour long campaign. If you do then you’re playing the wrong genre.
Don’t play on easy or normal. You’ll get your money’s worth on Heroic. It’s not as hard as people think IMO (then again i love the challenge).
Also Halo 4’s Campaign has skulls, achievements, Easter Eggs etc. Plus, you have Spartan OPs as a continuous, updated “second Campaign” as well.

No one said anything about wanting a 20 hour campaign. Op clearly wants a decent long halo campaign like our past experiences. Obviously not what you said.
The scope of the missions are not distingushed by the number of missions there are. This has been stated plenty of times already.
Some missions will take place over various terrains, which in since probably means theyll be extremely wrong.
Also, the length of the game depends on how you play, rather or not you take your time and explore, jump in a vehicle and drive as fast as you can trough them, and of course which difficulty you play on.
Add in Spartan Ops which stands alone, longer then ODST and youll have the longest story driven Halo to date.
It isn’t 343 has said that its going to be the longest Campaign of any Halo Games and Spartan Ops will be longer than ODST.

My point is that it’s going to be a 6 - 10 hour long campaign depending on your skill level and difficulty.
343i said that the 8 missions will be longer than before, some of them even taking place in different environments and maybe different times.

IT’S OVER 9000!!!
It’s only 8 missions (judging by the achievements). At best, you can only hope for about 8 hours. I’d guess it’ll be completeable in 5.5 though.
I have actually heard that it will be the longest campaign of the Halo campaigns, but, unfortunately, I forget where I read/heard it and I don’t feel like digging.

What if it’s.
3 levels = 1 mission.
Please read 343’s releases on this - they’ve stated it will be the longest campaign of all the Halo games.
Campaign > Multiplayer.
They said it would be long, but will it be good?
I think it would be like Halo3 / Reach something like a 6 hour campaign.
Anybody knows what the spartan ops seasons will cost?
I know the first season is free (50mission/5 missions a week)
but after 10 weeks its over.
And I dont think it will only be one Season.
