I hope every one says yes to this....

You know… in halo 4 after the first missions of exploring the new forruner planet… WHO IS UP FOR SOME ROCKING AND ROLLING MEYHEM… WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS… 8 SCORPIONS,12 PELICANS, 13 GHOSTS and wathogs, PHANTOMS,4 SCARABS ALL PILOTABLE BY YOU AND YOUR ALLIES TO DESTROY ThIS NEW THREAT…
WHO IS WITH ME…
NOT TO MENTION ALMOST HALF OF YOUR ARMY WILL GET DESTROYED AND THAT EVENTUALLY ALL UNITS GET ON FOOT IN A BUILDING DOING AN ALPHA ASSAULT…
this is if the servers could support such a map and variety of models…

Throwing that much that fast into the game could wreck the flow of the game. There wouldn’t be much to build up to if a huge event like that took place early on. Especially since it’s a new game.

Hold off the huge battles untill later on.

I mean… we suddenly find percursors recking last survivors, reinforcements come in … slowly building an army before we die and the last second they barge in

I don’t think the XBOX 360 would be able to handle that sort of battle unless 343 made some huge breakthroughs in technology. Reach never had anything of that sort of magnitude and they did a lot of work optimising the tech.

Trolololololol

You forgot the covi corvettes crashing right into the battlefield, killing everyone and everything with a huge *** *** explosion.

awesomely stupid

U mad bro?

Halo 3 had bigger battles than Reach - the one with two scarabs for example.
So it is possible to have some big battles, just not on the scale the OP is talking about.
I would love some hudge scale carnage though!

Reach could have done it, but the problem was time constraint, not gameplay mechanics
