I found them to be a very good visual aesthetic and I really enjoyed them. I say this because in the video I didn’t see the spartan assassinate the other one when he had the option to, I just hope that they are still their, but for those that don’t like them it should be optional. Also I really hope female spartan models are in the multi-player because I saw no sign of that… at all, plus they show a clear distinction between male and female, which I thought was very good.

What is an assignation?
They’re not really optional in Reach, if you hold down the melee button for a split mini second more than you’re supposed to, you do an assassination which takes far longer…
Reach assassinations are awesome I really hope they keep them. BUT I wish they fixed it so a player can’t steal your kill while you’re doing the assassination(I HATE when people yoink my assassinations).

Yeah sorry about that I was still in awe from watching the Halo 4 video document.
I’m confused. Are you asking if they’re optional because you don’t think they’re going to be in the game or because you don’t like them?
Assassinations are confirmed to be in the game.
I hope they take them out entirely, or at least give us the option to turn them off completely.

Do you mean that you can choose if you are going to do 1 by holding the button longer? Because it already was in Halo 4.
If you mean that one players turns them off and doesn’t see them while the other 1 turns them on and does see them, it ain’t work.

They better have 'em.
Spartans armor is supposed to be unisex so hopefully they don’t add a female version. The under armor suit looks pretty “fit” as it is. You can’t really make it any smaller or the Spartan would look anorexic.
