I hope 343i goes all out on Halo 4...

My biggest concern is that they won’t blow our minds with this game. That’s going to be just like Halo: 3/ODST -> Reach; barely any improvements and a huge letdown.

Halo: Reach felt very lacking and much like COD sequels; a few new features and better graphics. It’s like they didn’t even try to wow us at any point in the game. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying it’s utterly disappointing.

I want Halo: 4 to be like how Gears of War 3 was, a huge step up. In Gears 3 they add new gamemodes, completely redo existing ones, and add tons of new amazing features like for example playing as a berserker. Reach gave us the exact same firefight from ODST, a few new gamemodes/guns/vehicles, remade/forged maps, and the most new and innovative feature was driving a dysfunctional pelican/phantom. I’m hoping they actually listen to some of the things that have been being suggested since Halo 1.

TL;DR Reach was a let down and I don’t want to see the same thing with Halo: 4. I want to see something that’s very obviously a huge step-up from Reach and things that have never been done in Halo before, and I want the developers to go all out on this game.

Well… it looks like god has answered to your request, I am sure, that Halo 4 will explode our minds. Positively.

I believe it is going to rock our socks

I stopped reading until I saw this ridiculous part. Here is what I think:

Knowing Halo 4 was in production in 2011 absolutely blew my mind to smitherines,
knowing Master Chief and Cortana is back blew my mind to smitherines,
the gameplay blew my mind,
Campaign demo blew my mind,
the introduction to the new Prometheans blew my mind,
the weapons blew my mind,
the Armour Abilities blew my mind,
the weapon skins blew my mind,
the armour skins blew my mind,
the Forerunner weapons blew my mind,
Spartan Ops blew my mind,
Forge blew my mind,
the sounds of the weapons blew my mind,
the music blew my mind,
the Limited Edition blew my mind,
the game cover blew my mind,
the sneak peak of the LE blew my mind,
the Halo 4 console blew my mind and
the graphics blew my mind!

Everything about Halo 4 (in my opinion) blows my mind about just how incredible the game will be!

Oh don’t worry… 343i will, I’m Confident about that…

/hype Post Launch

Then disapointment in Fans on release day

Never changes for most people

But I’m not hyping/ getting exicted for it until Im have actually played the full game.

I have no doubt it’ll be a great experience.

It’s:
~ A return to John 117’s story, instead of leaving the established story for a new one, and finally one that carries the universe forward (rather than being set between or before the other games).
~ A return to multi-player having specially designed maps.
~ The introduction of a whole new faction, which allows us to explore the shadowy past from before the Halo Array was fired, and the chance to see what’s happened to at least some of the Covenant.
~ The introduction of a whole new bunch of weapons and vehicles.
~ A whole new, but equally epic, sound track and sounds.

Halo 4 is going to pretty damn great experience and evidence suggests it’s not going to be playing it safe like Reach did. It’s not just rehashing Firefight; we are being giving keys to mess around in Spartan OPs (which unlike FF, is going to a story driven, episodic experience rather than just a horde mode with aliens and FRG spamming) and even the MP has minor backstory (Spartans are killing each others because it’s a training sim).

The graphics on Halo 4 make a lot of games shown at E3 look like 8 bit in comparison (which says a lot on the 360s aged tech) and while it’s nothing compared to what PC games are capable of, it’s still nothing short of amazing. It’s hard to believe it’s on the same console as Reach tbh.

War Games (the MP) has me more concerned about the balance but everything else suggests that 343 is not holding back with Halo 4. I like how 343 is melding the MP and single player experiences together while tying other media (comics, books etc) into Halo 4, something Bungie never did.

oh it will blow your mind alright, how badly is yet to be determined …

I stopped reading here because you spelled ridiculous wrong. I couldn’t take you seriously after that. Halo 4 will be different, dumbed down, and will feature more of CoD features for sure. I can deal with that, they have to be competitive. Fine. I just care about how good the connections will be for matches because ever since they got the online given to them, they didn’t drop the ball, they kicked it. I just played a game where my opponents figured out how to teleport around the map. It’s sad.

LOLWUT. GoW3 was a huge step up?

“Here’s what we’ll do guys, we’ll take GoW2…you following?..and we’ll, wait for it…add new weapons!”

GoW3 was such a let down. The same repetitive gameplay, the same ‘lets spawn with the strongest weapon in the game’ mechanics, the same graphics, etc.

You’re all too easily amused.

The explosives in Halo 4 will blow my mind!

The campaign was EPIC. The multiplayer was greatly improved, graphics and especially the art style were amazing, just an all round great game. Much like Halo 4 is looking to be so far.

Cleanup on aisle 3! We have a massive amount of blown minds and headless bodies laying around.

Halo 4 will be more than amazing don’t worry.

  1. reach had the most changes out of any halo game to date so “lacking features” is simply not true. You can argue wether these changes were good, but thats not the point im making.

  2. reach was only a let down to those that got over hyped about it. I wasn’t let down, a little upset over silly things yes but not let down.

  3. i played it at RTX and it blew my mind. I am confident those sitting on a fence for feelings of halo 4 will be blown away as well.

  4. they shouldn’t go all out. After all the have 2 more games to make showing all your cards now would be bad buisness.
