Surely the fix for the Mangler is to throw it on the ground and shoot with a BR. Of course, because that works so flawlessly in literally everything other than Ranked. Ranked players ruined Mangler.
You don’t need to drop the weapon to beat a BR every single time. You just swap weapons. Dropping it just gives you more leeway. And this works with the sidekick just as well as the BR.
Don’t blame good players for realizing a gun is too strong. Hell, they’ve stopped using it.
Blame 343 for designing a gun inherently broken.
Yeah, I doubt I’ll be using the mangler much, if at all after that update hits. There are better close combat options and way better long range options then it.
Probably won’t be touching the Slug Mauler now, back to the old Shotgun Melee strat now
This is the perfect example of why the mangler needed a nerf.
People shouldn’t be preferring a pistol over a shotgun which is strong enough to only allow one on the map at a time.
Said shotgun being unable to 1-2 shot at close range most of the time unless the enemy’s shield is broken gee i wonder why people pick something that was consistent over it
Like if you think the melee spam is bad with the mangler just wait until people move to the bulldog

The bulldog is pretty strong, and also only one can exist on the map at a time, and spawns in a neutral spot.
It’s not nearly as problematic.
The mangler was stronger and I saw plenty of games with 5-6 being used at once.
