halo 2 is still the best game
Halo 4 is the reason people dont play as much halo.
All of the above comments float around in this forum and are lore to many of those who post frequently.
However, I spend alot of time playing halo, and have done since halo 2. I have loved what they have done with each game MORE then the previous. Yeh sure, I hated armor lock…but not enough to nerf it (jetpacks were worse), I hated the lack of zoom on the h3 pistol, so didnt use it. None of these changes made me leave halo.
Halo 5 looks visually better then any other halo game. Halo 5 looks to have some sweet additional player features whilsy also removing loadouts for a more classic feel. my friends agree (although ground pound being a game changer is an interesting “wait and see” topic for us).
Yet here we are on these toxic forums. The most vocal of people are coming out with statements I believe do NOT reflect the majority of people playing the game. instead they reflect the view of the trolls; “I want this my way and anyone who does not agree is not a true halo fan” or “dont listen to the casual gamer”.
I am not surprised I see poll after poll detailing removal of sprint as a way to “fix” halo. What these people dont understand is that many fans of halo games have left the forums AND the games due to the griefers both in-game and online. All this leaves left is an abundance of ring rammers; happily supping the putrid seepage from the arrogant self indulgent -Yoink- hats, sitting back and agreeing mindlessly with each other
I hope 343 make the game how they see fit and that it is as fantastic as it looks.
I hope all those who dislike sprint carry on playing MCC forever and do NOT buy halo 5. This way an enjoyable community can again once be formed.

The truth is when threads like this are made, constructive criticism isn’t what OP is looking for; he’s looking for no criticism at all.
OP: You brush over those statements and act like we have no reason to say these things. The people being “toxic” about it are the minority, if you’ll notice. Take five minutes to actually use your eyes and read what people have to say about sprint and the like, and maybe (if you’re willing to accept an opinion that doesn’t line up with what you want), you’ll understand.
“Agreeing mindlessly with eachother”? Are you serious right now? Don’t try and act like you’re pushing back the norm and refusing to conform because you want features that are completely un-innovative and only exist in Halo because the devs don’t want Halo to be too different. Don’t act like we have no reason to agree on certain things being bad.
Posts like this make me sad for the community. It makes me sad that any criticism that we have for Halo (even when warranted by pages upon pages of discussion) is considered “toxic” and shouldn’t be listened to, but the mindless “Halo 5 gon b gr8 shut up hatters” threads are considered meaningful discussion.
The only thing toxic in this thread is the OP. You’re essentially saying people who don’t feel the way you do about Halo should shut up and get the -Yoink- out. Toxic.
That’s the problem with any company that listens to its fans. Most of the people giving feedback are ravenous nostalgia dogs that want he game to change to a point that anyone who is happy with the game will no longer get a lot of the early features of it.
Communities have varied opinions, you can never please everyone all the time. No matter what 343i do they will get criticised so they may as well just make the game they want to make.
If what you say is true then why run a beta? Why would they feel it’s important for feedback for changes? I they ask for what’s wrong with the game people are going to say what they believe is wrong with it they ask for it themselves and it’s important for them to hear all feedback whether hate or love. If people quit the game because of others/gameplay then who cares bro people who will stay will stay and in the end it matters what the community makes the game, 343 should just worry more about the story and leave polls and these forums to decide what the gameplay will be like

The Halo 5 beta appears to have a feature that allows you to give feedback from the game menu. When you send the feedback, it probably includes your stats aswell. A person who has played for a couple of minutes will probably be ignored. They do want our feedback, but I don’t think this forum is the right place to look for it.

Then why have the forums at all, why would they wait for H5 beta menu screen for feedback that’d be stupid. They made forums for their fans to give feedback if they really LISTEN to their fans this would be the place to do it. Unfortunately most people just whine but H5 is in pre release state, the forums is their oppurtunity to see what people really want or what could be added that could be beneficial for their new game

I am on the forums, because I want it to be good, it is the only game I play I can be productive, but I have no reason to be productive on a forum that tells people not to voice their frustrations. The OP wants people to agree with him and doesn’t want 343 to take in concerns. Kick Rocks NUB.
i love halo, especioally MCC, my only MCC problem is me being level 8 and constently being de-ranked because of being pared up with level 36,24,12,12 on the enemy team and i am lvl 8 and get paired with lvl 3,3,and 10
but i agree, we dont only need critisism but we need compliments and ideas too, people wanted default Thrust so 343 gave us and we got a load of new abilities, we dont have audiable hit markers thank … goodness. we just need feed back, if ground pound isnt weak enough they will nerf it more, we need to all play the beta then make judgements and give feed back to make any MAJOR changes

I don’t care if you agree with me, but the forums should be filled with ideas for 343 to take and expand on. If you don’t think you should be productive on the forums just b/c of other people then why feed into the same pool of people you’re talking about? Be an example and don’t get butthurt by the few people who will say what you have to say is stupid. Posts should be filled with ideas and others to expand on that idea themselves until a final outcome is produced by whoever posted it. All comments on it should be irrelevant to 343 but the final idea. It’s stupid to come in here and think they are going to read your comment about why this community is bad or anyone else to why certain things (sprint and abilities mostly) should be taken out. If you want to make an impact then make an educated post about it and come together. Whether bad feedback or good if 343 reads anything they should take things that are liked from us and use it. I don’t understand what your argument is at all. What I am is saying nothing but what the forums should be and in the end would be nothing but positivity in this community of hate for a game they are going to “leave”

This is what I meant by “toxic”, thankyou for helping me prove a point.
People leave this forum because of attitudes like yours. We are then left with a forum containing a mass of people just like yourself, creating polls for a mass of people just like yourself, which ultimately leaves us with data that is (possibly) an inaccurate view of what the millions of people playing halo actually think.
The ONLY people I know of who feel removing sprint is a good idea live online within the home of the trolls. All the others keep well away because attitudes like yours make them angry.
This is why I hope 343 do not pay attention to everything on here.
How bout instead of 343 out right ignoring the forums, we let them ignore the negative side of the Forums. Instead, create forums that are actually meant for CRITICISM.
Seriously, I am tired of seeing threads like this that say that Nostalgia guy’s are the bad people around and such.
