I heard Bloom was only being taken out of Classic playlist...

If so, is it possible to make Classic playlists for everything? Classic Team Slayer, Classic SWAT, Classic BTB, Classic Snipers, etc?

Because really, I hate Bloom. I’m not going to be one of the first to say it, and I’m not going to be last, but wouldn’t it be a LOT better if we had absolutely no Bloom on any playlist? That would take out the randomness and luck factor and replace it with Skill. I’m tired of getting randomly sniped by someone who wasn’t even aiming for me and also getting exterminations by accident. I want to get Exterminations with skill, not because I’m lucky.

Classic means old. There was no bloom in halo CE. There won’t be a DMR in that playlist either. When beta hoppers come out there will prob. be zero bloom playlist for most things. Swat wouldn’t really matter, it’s already one shot.

A lot more would have to be done to other playlists than just removing bloom.
As many have agreed, no bloom gametypes lean the focus of the game towards the DMR, Pistol and NR, leaving all other weapons in the dust for the most part.
No bloom in classic will work well because other settings are going to be altered, and it’s expected that the Classic playlist will revolve around the Pistol.

Creating “Classic” versions of every playlist will do nothing but fragment both the population of each playlist, but the population of players who would play the actual Classic playlist.

There was no visible “bloom” in Halo 2 or 3 either, which was basically a “classic” to some players. I played Halo when it first came out with my older cousin, and Halo Reach when it came out. Halo CE to ODST was fun. Halo Reach seems to cater more to casual players.

The reticule didn’t show it, but it was still there in the form of the BR spread back in H2/H3, which people still liked to complain about, while others never noticed.
And Reach lacks in the burst fire weapon department, so how else would you keep a single shot weapon on par with the older stuff?

Meaning basically that right now, the bloomless DMR/NR are one of the most, if not thee most accurate of all the precision weapons outside of snipers at any range in the halo series right now. Even the old carbine wasn’t that accurate if I remember right.
One shot, always goes where you want it, no BR bullet spread, no bullet missing, no travel time.

Great for competive guys who hate the “r” word, but not exactly classic, since it goes beyond what we had before.
And of course it affects the rest of the weapon sandbox.

Bloom isn’t necessary in swat IMO. All it does is mean the person who just got a triple kill now has to kill the fourth player with pure blind luck in order to get the extermintaion.

You’re right. Multikills would often be much easier w/o bloom randomness. Add that to the randomness that playing off host online already adds makes bloom VERY unnecessary in the swat playlist.

343 should definitely consider bloom alterations for all playlists.

Classic does mean old, yes. But it doesn’t just limit it to pistol only. CE had spread or, as you put it, bloom.

Proof that bloom is on precision weapons, or more importantly, the pistol. Bloom will more than likely be in the CE playlists if they know what they are doing.
