Ok this is just a rumor I heard but I wanted to come here to possibly clear it up i hope.
I heard that Halo 4 might not have the Forge. That would be horrible if they took that out!!!

I don’t care for forge, so whatever.
But it’s in the game, 343i would do nothing but shoot themselves in the foot if they were to take it out…
I was in a party and one of my friends was talking about it. He was offered a job for writing game reviews at Gamespot.com so I trust his opinions. This rumor is just people spreading word i’m sure. I really don’t think that it’s true…but if it is… O_O
i think its going to be in there.
Don’t expect another forge world… In my opinion. that “map” was a waste of disk space.

If it isn’t official, don’t listen to it.
They pretty much indirectly confirmed Forge will be in the game, as will Theatre, etc.

Forge World is one of the many reasons why Reach is so dis-tasteful.
Forge World was the end of dynamic map making, and the beginning of most the embarrassing maps found in Reach matchmaking.

I’m pretty sure Forge World was talked about in the last bullet-in.
That they’d get back to it at a later point. That’s the only official info about Forge that I know of.

343 said they can’t talk about it right now.
However, they said when they talk about it, it will not be sad news.

Forge World would have been a better map in my opinion if it was not the only map with a 10,000 dollar budget, and if it had more landmass to forge on, and bigger rocks, and trees, and plain old stone textured blocks (can’t stand all that glass that ruins patterns!).
Lol, I see no other reason than Forge that have caused terrible launch maps for multiplayer.
Without Forge they can’t just say ‘‘oh, don’t liek our maps? make your own’’
This thread isn’t about whether Forge World was a success and/or whether or not that particular part of Forge should be brought back in Halo 4. It’s about a guy hearing someone in their party who supposedly works for Gamespot telling him some “insider” information that he inexplicably obtained which has been confirmed multiple times over by 343 isn’t remotely true.
This isn’t a rumor. It is utter nonsense. Forge will return as Frankie and several other members of 343’s Halo 4 team have confirmed many, many months ago as well as recently.
I hope they do get rid of Forge. It should be replaced with a proper map editor. Something like the Far Cry 2 Map Editor. But more in depth.

Forge is just a name so, it’d be a suitable name for a proper map editor though. As previous forges have basicly only been about rearanging furniture in a room, or garden.
I’d like a REAL map editor where I get to apply textures and all that stuff, so whatever the map makers at 343 are working with to my computer and I’d be happy.
Although not a reality.
