I haven't seen a thread asking this.

So I will ask. I read the Game Informer article, and every Waypoint update that I can think of. Will there be ARMOR customization for cosmetic purposes only? That is one thing I loved about Halo 3 and Reach. It’s a small thing that goes a long way in the end.

It seemed to give a sense of individuality. It was interesting to mix and match shoulders/helmets/chestplates/etc. Has anything been confirmed on this matter? If so links please, will be appreciated.

EDIT: I also watched the Red vs Blue: Save The Date specail. They all had the same Armor, but I figured 343 didn’t want them to give away new armor or returning armor.

Armour customisations will be cosmetic only - gameplay abilities will be determined by whatever you’ve got in your loadout.

There hasn’t been a confirmation that it’s ONLY cosmetic and if I remember, it may have came out they affect something.

Computer says no…

Sorry, I’m really bored right now, I’ll leave the Forums before I bore everybody to death.

This thread may help you

I do not have the answer you are looking for, but take a closer look at sarges chest plate in the vids, its actually different from grif or simmons

I know there will be the specializations. I didn’t know if there would be custom armor. I still count the class/loadout thing as a type of character customization, hence the use of “cosmetic purposes only”.

Thank you, I now know there will be custom armors. I have a new question now, though. Will the custom armors all be pre-set, or will we be able to mix and match armor sets like Halo 3 or Reach?

To expand upon the latter; these gameplay abilities, these “Specializations” will give your Spartan slight advantages during gameplay.

The three we know of now is slight health regen, one extra grenade on spawn, and extra ammo on spawn. I believe you can only equipped two at a time.

Those are Modifications, not Specializations.
