So, I just got my Master Chief controller, where I got a code to redeem for a REQ pack, including the awesome Dauntless visor. But I didn’t receive the pack after redeeming my code.
I then went to the XBOX store via the XBOX One, redeemed my code and went straight to Halo 5 (physical copy inserted).
The pop-up message regarding the redemption appeared, and I held down the ‘X’ button as instructed. Nothing happened.
I then went to ‘Open Packs’, nothing there. Then I searched ‘Collection’, nothing there.
Then I tried the following:
relogging, rebooting, removal and reinsertion of the disc, relogging, rebooting… nothing happened.
Then I contacted XBOX support through their website and began a chat and informed my code, where my instructions were:
remove the power supply from the source, then from the console, wait 3 minutes, reattach and reboot.
did so, nothing happened. then I got send here to post my issue, in hopes of a solution.
Needless to say, I’m pumped up with my new awesome controller in my hands, but devastated I can’t throw on my Dauntless visor.
Please help me fix this.
EDIT: Got it now! I am now one happy and awesome looking -Yoink!-! Thank you guys again for the tips and re-assurance, it’s been an awesome beginning with the community.

How long ago did you input the code? Some packs take time to appear, for example I got my arena req packs a day after the day they were supposed to be sent. My advice is to give it a little time. If absolutely all fails then Id try calling support once more, contacting 343 if at all possible and if nothing works then just take the hit. It is after all a visor, not too important and you can get the visor through the gold packs. I got the Locke controller (Because of aesthetics, Locke is lame) and mine worked right away so from my personal experience sounds like its either lagging or didnt process. You might also want to try inputting the code again. Might not have fully gone trhough and reset
EDIT: Could also be your router, when my router acts up I can’t access my REQ packs or open packs. So try your router too
Check under visors in the customization menu. Stuff tend to appear there before it shows in your collection/inventory.

I know it’s just a visor, it’s just a real bad feeling, sitting there after the code has been redeemed (and seeing it installed under games btw), and then it doesn’t appear.
But yeah, won’t be the death of me nor my excitement for Halo, but still.
Awesome stuff with the Locke controller, I wish I had 'em both - even though I wanted to cap him myself, when he started brawling with Master Chief in campaign.

Chief controller is awesome seriously! I have both since I purchased the LE console and I prefer the look of chief.

No problem, I wish I could help more. I gotta admit it was a hard choice between the locke and MC controller. If it makes you feel better I unlocked the Dauntless visor when I was around level 38ish so theres always a chance you can get it early on if the code is broken. Good luck!
